But very much true. Stupid Record Sheets from FASA back then were HORRIBLY edited, with things like the Rifleman and Jagermech showing full arm actuator sets. Yet because of a pretty obvious editing error (cuz it was often obvious actually reading the source material was too much work for FASA staff back then) they decided to totally muck it up on all future stuff, despite the fluff of the 2750 TRO saying specifically that the
whole AC was in the arms.
I already conceded the point of the old record sheet not having the hand actuators or the crit-split issue... though, recency generally trumps primacy (e.g. later/newer materials (such as errata & newer record sheets) are "more canon" than older ones), for precisely the reasons you've listed (e.g. correction of errors, like the
Rifleman and
JagerMech having full actuator sets).
The question then becomes, "Would PGI use the outdated record sheet, or the current one?"
