So, thanks to PGI now i have a champion Centurino... it seems that the champion build is not bad but i don't like SRM very much and also i prefer the balistic slot of the hunchkback I already own to the one in the arm of the centurion....
So is the centurion 9-A a viable LRM skirmisher? And is it possible to build it using an STD engine? I saw an interesting lrm build using xl engine but I'd like not to spend 5 milions just to try a build i might not like.

You might find it useful to switch from the three LRM-10s Modo suggests to a pair of LRM-15s. It'll save you two tons at the cost of firing as a 20+10 volley, but with those two tons you can afford to pack in another ton of ammo and upgrade the small lasers to mediums to ensure you aren't just sneezing at people when your LRMs are blown off.

Yes, I was thinking of something like this: http://mwo.smurfy-ne...bd79e916f76763f
It's slower than the trial stalker but at least I already own an std 200

At least i would drop a ton of ammo to get a medium laser, some close range capabilities are always needed, plus you'll be able to zombie a bit when the side torsos get blown off.

This one could be funny as well. 3 LRM 5 + Atremis, TAG, BAP, 1 MedLaser, STD 225 80,2 Kmph. Good Amor to spread Dammage to the Arms.

Ammo's a little light - but I tend to be aggressive enough stuff gets blow off around the time ammo runs out
This would be the mech that started me and Vic's feud BTW (flame shield is already up)
But it was (and is) one of my better scoring mechs and builds.

You can also go with a simple single-launcher setup.
A single Artemis LRM 15/20 will pack a decent punch and easily maintains sustained fire, with a couple of medium pulse lasers/large laser/ER LL/LPL in the CT mount. ER LL or LL + LRM fire actually works rather nicely for Centurions- just make sure you open the missile doors first to avoid fire delay (the "/" key toggles them).
