Is anyone having any luck with Plusnet?

Nothing so far. I submitted the Wireshark capture last Thursday ish and apart from a confirmation that it'd been received and escalated to their network engineers, I haven't heard a peep.

Here is a somewhat weird advice, but it has worked for many and it has worked to me.

Go to your Internet Explorer (yes, IE) and go to settings and from the general settings press ''Use default'' or something (under the homepage url). It has worked on several games for me, and apparently for other MWO players.

I've heard this being suggested before, and I have to admit I'm baffled how it would work. Tried it anyway, and rather unsurprisingly it made no difference at all.

I've heard nothing from them either since submitting the Wireshark capture on 8th March.

I've been having the same issues the past two weeks. And I live in South Africa. Some nights I just can't log on at all.

Anyone managed to solve this problem?

PlusNet advice has so far been useless, they blame everything else apart from their own network. so I am now looking into migrating away from them.

I was unable to connect after around 1pm yesterday. Happily playing then, server connection failed and no longer able to connect for the rest of the day/evening.

I have had no word back from Plus.net to tell me that MWO has been prioritised. I am trying to chase them.

i'm going to see if this works, then I know for sure it's Plus.net: https://mullvad.net/en/get-started/

I am from Uk with virgin media , i get an error occurred server connection lost every game almost , its not ur isp it mwo and their incompetence , so glad i stopped spending money on this game years ago ! No problems with other online games just this , which is a shame because the game is great, . I will leave for another year and who knows maybe if lucky one more issue maybe resolved.

I was thinking about joining BT, they have several offers on at the moment, but what you said Serraphin has made me worry. If it's MWO fault, then no point migrating away from PlusNet.

Maybe I will give the game a rest for a month or two and see what happens.

I have only spent money to buy 3000 mc, all of which has gone on mech bays, I need more mech bays now but will not spend anymore money until I have a stable connection!

The first question i always ask is "have you turned on the monitor?" you would be surprised how many times this has fixed the problem

LOL, ah, the world of tech support. It's surprising how often people miss the fact that the cleaning lady unplugged the system while she was vacuuming under the desk.

The problems happening in this thread all appear to be related to service provider issues, whether it's directly with Plus.Net or one of their peers.

@GingerPig; I'd be curious to see if you happened to grab any traces from when it was working earlier this week vs what it is now? I don't believe you're routing would have changed anyways, but it's possible that there is some load shifting happening during peak time and your new route is causing problems.

It's not you, we here in the US are having the same problems.

Can you quantify that (ie location, service provider, traceroutes)?

From a connectivity and routing perspective, the traces shown by some of the folks earlier in this thread crossed the same routers in the data center going to the game servers that quite a few folks cross. That's why it's important to distinguish contributing factors so that a proper solution can be found.

Plusnet have finally got back to me with the following message

"I have now looked over the wireshark provided and can see that the traffic priority is correct at titanium."

Oh and I can't login again this evening...

I'm starting to wonder if it's not Plusnet at all. I've been able to connect OK this week, but have had massive problems with connectivity in game with pings as high as 1800, even though a ping to mwtactics comes back at 109ms (which is obviously on the same subnet).

I'm getting a normal ping when in game, just get booted off with the message "server connection lost" then try to log in and get "A network error occurred"

Have just seen this post, so will try this tomorrow. http://mwomercs.com/...or-on-plus-net/
