Since I solo in my BJ-1 90% of the time anyways should be a normal-ish Saturday for me. There should be a poll for how many times i'll get back cored by a team mate

Meta everywhere, strikes everywhere, Elo and matchmaker hilarity, and encouraging players to be, well, not team players (to put it ridiculously politely). I appreciate that you are doing something but I think I'll pass. I might even pass on playing this weekend to avoid the friendly fire I will receive from people wanting that kill shot. But as long as more people play over the duration than stop playing because of the "tourney", I guess it's a net win, right?

This is a fantastic idea and a time that is overdue.

I'm a light/medium specialist so this is right up my alley.

I get a chance to see who's the best out there.

WOO HOO! I had asked for another marriage-threatening tournament many many times!

Mr. Blastman and Deathlike you guys are amazing. Without checking, I know for sure I have less than 5 Million in the bank after buying and kitting out the Griffins. No idea how you guys do it.

For this I can understand as every Medium Mech gets it's own category. So if you pilot a Griffin you'll be aiming for the top 5 of the Griffin Leaderboard. Right now the Wolverine is only available to Project Phoenix buyers, so it would be only them competing which isn't fair for the tourney.

That said, if they put in an Overall and All Mediums category then the Wolverine could compete in those fairly.

This is an excellent event! I have opted in with my Kintaro-GB! Yay!
A great event, compared to the last one!!!
Also, medium 'Mechs are at par with any other 'Mech weights, so the chances of scoring high are always good.

Question on how this works:
Are the categories based on one variant, or can I use all the variants in a chassis for my 'best 10'
Also, for the lights/heavies/assaults, is that across ANY mech in that weight class, or again, do I have to use the same chassis variant for the entire contest?

For light, heavy and Assaults it is just for the weight class.
For mediums it is split among the chassis.

On another note:
....Anyone else noticing that this doesn't start till tomorrow?

Thanks for clearing that up.
And yes, I noticed that it won't begin until mid-day tomorrow.

So, which one is true PST or PDT ? Already trying to convert to GMT +2 each time some event comes up, but this is even more frustrating...

Edit: Also another question is, does spotting assists, saviour kills, component destructions included in the score? Because I couldn't see them.

I'm used to the Friday-sale time schedule. It's normal for the most part.

The easiest way of remembering it is knowing when the servers are down for patch day. That's essentially when the tourney timer starts.

None of those rewards are calculated in the score. Please check the tourney stuff for scoring details.

No because the High ELO players are VERY GOOD !
Unless... One of them decided to create a new account just for the tourny...
I guess it would be possible have your main mech by burning MC as well...

But is there a point to being a fraud ? We already know who the top players are from that past tournies.. Though many of them may not be playing the game any more.

Hey great way to see how many players are still there and playing!

just play one round with every chassis/weight class and do nothing. You will show up in the ranking with 0 points so you will always be the last guy at the end of the board.

(Ok, if 10 guys do this you have a little blur on the exact number but that is a minor problem imho).
