Its loadout is pathetic too. 4 energy, 1 ballistic, and 1 missile. Its just a way worse boars head with 2 less energy hardpoints. Who in their right mind would pay $30 for that?

Probably the 3M and the 3S. But neither of those are particularly interesting. Mostly just energy boats with more energy hardpoints than you can reasonably use. The 3E is the only remotely interesting one of the bunch.

I love it. Those Steiner fools got exactly what they were begging for. May a more worthy faction make the next mech request.

The 3E is going to be DEADLY if it stays that way.

2 UAC5 2 AC2 and whatever energy you want to pair up on depending on how fast you want to go.


As for the hill humpers....you do see two of the points are down low, as in...the first two you put into the torso will be low slung. This is PGI telling you to stop being ******* and just CHARGE! As it looks now, this will be the case for ALL of its guns minus the head laser and energy on the left torso. Again this is INTENTIONAL, this is a mech that is not made to "hill hump" its a flat out, drag out, BRAWLER and any mech with those "horrid low slung" guns are made to do exactly that.



The hero even to me looked a little lack luster and possibly overnerfed again (poor oxide), PGI just needs to man up and just release the mechs as the originally designed them or not release that mech as a hero and make something else there made up hero mech. Hero mechs are not P2W in any way shape or form as how well you do in a match is based on how well you can pilot the damn things, rather then just the flat firepower you can carry. P2W is being able to buy something that literally will make you win a fight vs someone who didn't buy said item.....hero mechs do not do that.

The thing about the BNC-3S and 5S is unless they do some adding, they have the same amount of hard points just in different spots. However the 3S looks confirmed as it is in the concept art in the beginning of the hero teaser.

I guess it was inevitable. They had to fill the 95-ton "slot" for the sake of completion (all others from 20 to 100 tons have been filled) and the only 95-tonners available in 3050 are the Banshee and the Nightstar (which is practically LosTech).

Made this proxy build for the hero were getting tomorrow I think it will work nicely.

i was looking at a similar loadout because of critical limitations; but I was going to keep the 390 engine because it comes with the 'Mech and 400xl are expensive

I personally dont think engines bigger than 350 are worth the weight. IMO if you wanna go faster youre better off dropping to a lower tonnage mech than putting in an oversized engine.

Depending on size / hitboxes big XLs can be a boon especially for my BLRs, so hopefully the Banshee will follow suit.

its a critical space issue the hero banshee actually seems to have worse and fewer slots than the other variants, not enough room to do anything but obnoxious engine

Only Banshee im interested in is the 3E. The rest are just a means to mastering the 3E. Quite frankly the other Banshees are terrible and I haven no real interest in energy boats with 1 missile hardpoint.

Also an update on tomorrow's patch:

To continue the tradition here is a quick run down of tomorrow's patch content.
First off DX11 of course. Default setting will be DX9 but......those that have the machine for it may switch to DX11. Upon initial release you can use MSAA but not TXAA or 3D vision expect those to..to come online likely in the following patch.
Next we have the Banshee Hero Mech. Interesting name and theme which should stand out.
New Champion Trial is the Cataphract 3D(C)
All maps now have turrets in assault mode
Series of JJ bug fixes and tweaks. Thrust and turning rate properly scaled for # of JJ's and mech size. Proper diff between full JJ and 1 JJ. - "I suppose it will impact them, but I think of this more as proper intended functionality of JJ then a nerf"
A fix in UI 2.0 for "lists" most notably the social window loading but also other lists like inventory and mechlab should work better.
Weapon range modules now affect Artemis weapons. Testing grounds now impacted by player talents and mech efficiencies. Win 8 fixes.

We know, Banshee is not the most popular nor charismatic mech, but this doesn't excuse lame and generic design.

Just plain combination of not even reworked Kintaro's torso and head mixed with ShadowHwak's arms doesn't work well nor looks attractive.

And even the only remarkable feature DAT COOL GLASSES is ruined.

Please, Iglesias and other designers, we love your vision, but try harder next times.

well as i said in another threads it seems to be based on the original look, not the later look. As for kit bashes..

I think i am alone in actually liking that, it feels like all the mechs work within the same universe compared to the old BT stuff that was all over the place.

Lets just thank the lords this thing does not have jump jets...

2UAC/5 + 2AC/2 sounds fun. Nothing new under the sun, but with that tonnage you can actually take some damage and pack enough ammo to last the entire round...

You must be one of those who only run meta and ballistic builds, because everybody tells you to do so. Brawling is fine, it's just harder than boating ballistics and hiding behind stuff.

I should know, I brawled my way to the top of Trebuchet bracket with nothing but a pair of ML's and SRM's.

Not going to say that it won't be deadly. But, what I will say is that it'll end up as the Jaeger DD or S but on one side which means that it'll suffer the same fate as the Atlas. It looks good on paper but how many times do the Atlas drivers end up losing that precious AC torso? It is quite annoying.
