Hero Banshee "la Malinche"

But with that being said, it looks rushed when compared to the art. On the art we have that cool ammo canister on the side torso, but on the actual Mech that turned it into some really weird 2D looking structure.
Overall the the Mech looks cool but I'm going to be upset if they dont brush back over on the details. Well, Im going to be upset if they dont do that on a couple of the other newer Mechs as well. This game is the best-looking MechWarrior to date, with a fantastic art team to back it up, but you can just see the deadlines printed in red every time you look at the newer Mechs. The Firestarter would be my only exception.
I am REALLY looking forward to piloting one of these monsters, but until I can afford the Bills I guess it's time to try out my Locusts :/
Love the new Mech design. Love it. It looks like an older Mech with the way the feet and everything are.

Ummm, well the La Malinche is also apparently a Mexican version of a Banshee or Wailing Spirit. They could have just as easily called it the Siren or Screaming Mimi or numerous other legendary screaming monsters/spirits and still avoid a Celtic paint theme. Personally, I like it and if I did choose to Pilot Banshee, I could easily paint the 3E or 3S with the Tartan pattern. It's pretty much like complaining they didn't do a Hero Highlander with a Celtic theme. This one, to me, is more imaginative.
In march though?
XL? I'm gonna wreck so many of these things tonight

Well so it is. I was wondering where the 4th one everyone was talking about was located. Looked at the imgur again and it was right in front of my face.
Almost too bad I can't assault. If those were spread across both side torsos I'd certainly try though!

I've bought all the Heros so far, but I have no interest in this "thing". It'll be interesting to see how quickly it goes on sale.
Similar position. Why would I want such an awful mech for 5,000+ MC when I already have an RS and Boar's Head that do s better job?
I've already learnt my lesson the hard way from the Pretty Baby!

Well now that you mention it. . . I really could go for a Ymir, Flashman, Urbanmech or
I'm the only one that likes the Ymir. The only one. I know it's out of period, but it's so cool.

I don't, I dislike how I get a feeling of it being stiched up from battlemaster and shadowhawk parts with minor tweaks here and there. The decepticon head might be new stuff tho.
I just wish for more distinctive looks in mechs

The paintjob is kind of nice, but when combined with the completely clunky generic forgettable blocky humanoid look of the mech itself, isn't enough to make the mech even look cool.
I, too have bought all the heros so far, but this looks both ugly and useless. And that being the second most expensive hero in the game? Not sure if even an eventual 50% sale will make this compelling.
GG close, money saved to the clan packs.

I also hate how they took out the PPC arm depicted in art and went for the boring "guns slung under arms" thing they introduced with Phoenix mechs.
I wonder if the art team is too strained, now that they switched to two mechs a month?

Rather have seen a Devastator. And there was three versions of Dev Built before 3050. One was a prototype DV-2.Personnely I am somewhat surprised that PGI doesn't do one off... er Hero mechs and that's it for some mechs. This would enable them to get at least one of many mechs they probably will never get into the game. We really don't need 3 or 4 of every mech.Make a hero mech Devastator, Pillager, Zeus, Emperor so on. The same for clan mechs. PGI gets more money selling hero mechs. People will get that specific mech they want.perhaps not the specific variant but something.
It is pretty much worthless to put xl engines in most mechs until something is done to make mechs torsos last longer.

But really - its frankensteins monster - my first thought was - that somehow they hadn't time for build from scratch - and because its 95t its MC = $$$ = resulting in a poor Mech as worse as the Pretty Baby - and a really poor modell (it looks like it uses part from all Mechs currently in game)

That said I'm also a little disappointed that the PPC is attached to the arm instead of being the arm.

.... i believe that has something to do - with the WYSIWYG Mech Modification stuff.... i always feel castrated when i look at the the Large Laser of my T-Bolt - not to mention the PPC for the BattleMaster (at the artwork those guns looked much better)

Okay, I know it's supposed to be an older design, but a 95 ton 'mech with only a PPC, AC/5 and a Small Laser? I'm probably missing it, but can someone point out what's supposed to be the BNC-3E's main selling point? Because it's no faster than any other 'mech its size, seems undergunned and I can't see mention of electronic warfare equipment. Does it just carry an absurd amount of armour?
EDIT: At least now I remember what that Vandergriff guy was piloting in that Solaris VII novel, Illusions of Victory. Been mistakenly thinking it was a Battlemaster for some reason.
Because of this:
4 Ballistic hardpoints in one torso (and probably 2-4 energy hardpoints in the other).
The non-hero Banshees will probably be very good!
