Very logical choice on the Vindicator, and that one has my vote as the next release.

Russ said on Twitter that a Vindicator is in the works, but not for April. He also said that April and May will follow a different pattern than the past few months. Wonder what that means...

I think the pattern was a reference to maybe 2-3 new hero mechs for the older chassis who still lack one more than about the new mechs releases.

Still just less than 1 week to know

Yeah, the gist of it is that there won't be a new chassis, as they have been building out the Clan mechs, but instead there will be two hero versions of existing chassis.

Hero mechs sound good too! :-)

The Thor is a slightly (5 tons) bigger Clan-built OmniTech Thunderbolt, while the Loki is a slightly (5 tons) smaller Clan-built OmniTech Warhammer.

Yep. that's what I feel also.

Because

http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Urbanmech

won't happen with our current maps, nor any future maps, as they do not want a heavy urban environment that is very limited to movement.

And it's the first mech ever, should be included... right?... right?... no?

Well, sod it.

I'd like to see it, just because I wonder how Alex would make the concept art and how it would translate into game.

I'm going to say either Grasshopper or Black Knight.

I'd say if it's a 70 ton mech, a Guillotine and if it's a 45 ton, a Wyvern. I find that these two fit PGI's patterns the best as most mechs they have released has either a IIc or Omnimech variant.

says 3053 in sarna.. needs 3 variant you probably won't see it until 3058

so thats....6 years from now

they really need to shift their focus OFF of mechs and into stuff that the community want like community warfare, factions etc

Well, we already know the 45 tonner is the Vindicator as per Russ' tweet.

I wouldn't believe much of what Russ posts. He does have a habit of trolling the player base.

Every map in game is heavy urban, in the sense that although it might be a boulder, resource collector, or shards crystals rather then sky scrapers and office buildings its still great indestructible cover. All current maps do/would limit movement if you had some collisions for example run into a building should get stuck, fall, tank through, something.....

Urbanmech would be good especially for noobs who believe there is no cover anywhere. And for that skill-less, crowd pleasing, follow the meta, can't think for his damn self, soulless, noob who think urbanmechs are useless. ^_^

Now i would have liked the Archer for the ARC-5R... FRR representing... But as we all know that will not happen.

Grasshopper sounds like a fairly solid choice but on the other hand it is a fairly tall and lanky mech so it might have problem with cover.

Grasshopper and Guillotine are almost identical (all lasers and 1 LRM or SRM). The Guillotine is a much nicer looking mech rather than the tall skinny humanoid Grasshopper. Both can jump.

Well, sod it.

Urbie wouldn't actually be horrible. I mean, yes: they're as slow (or slower) than an Atlas, but they're about as small as a Commando - they'll be mostly ignored on the battlefield as they'll almost certainly be moving up with the assaults. I'm not saying they'll be dominant; honestly, I'd be surprised if they cracked 200 damage a match, but I think they'd be a little harder to hit and a little more survivable than people think.

I'd love to get an Urbanmech in the game if only to mix things up a little. April would be a great time to dump one on the community, along with the grasshopper, which is likely the mech that's dropping.

Biggest problem with getting the poor Urbie though is the engine - they would have to completely re-work how engines work in MWO - or the poor Urbie's engine would have negative tonnage.
