The "Unseen" mechs are from 3 different Japanese cartoons called Macross, Crusher Joe, and Dougram.

PGI and BattleTech in general have successfully gotten the rights to use the Crusher Joe and Dougram designs. However, the Macross designs are still contested by the people at the other American company of Harmony Gold about who has the rights to the Japanese made art since both used the designs for their own products called Robotech for Harmony Gold, and BattleTech for PGI in this case.

Harmony Gold, the other American company won't let the BattleTech/Mechwarrior guys use the art without a lawsuit. They want it for themselves, period.

So no Archer, long story short.

Last I heard, the Grasshopper was the most likely following the pattern that a Heavy was next, but someone said that a Heavy was NOT next. Anyone hear anything else?

If clan they make clan busters its gonna have to include King Crab, thats the only assault in the set.

There might be a few more this is the short list. Basically when they pick a mech it has to meet some rules.

1. Cannon
2. Was it mass produced
3. Does it fit the current game
4. Is a weight category missing something like a all missile mech or brawler.
5. Is it liked by the community is it going to get early MC sales.
6. Was it done in another game.
7. Will there be legal issues it its added to the game.

Set of "Hero" mechs if I had to place a bet.

Quickdraw and Blackjack to be more precise. As there is a NGNG design challenge for both of those Hero mechs.

If Russ said April 15 package then the Star league mechs are coming out. So I would expect that package to have classics like.

That's Just a quick look through of what the package might contain. Their probably releasing a package to make up for the lack of Clan mech sales. Since they just past phase 1 late march with April and May to go.

I will add this is all speculation and hearsay who knows what there doing. We were suppose to have a Jungle map coming to.

Can it really be Quickdraw and Blackjack heroes? I would have thought that the design time exceeds the number of days left in the month. The NGNG link seems to indicate that designs for those mechs don't even exist on paper yet.

Possibly but then PGI did claim that previous mechs that do not have Hero's would be getting them shortly. As in more then one a month.

I wonder if the heros will even be one of the "community" builds. Maybe they are already done an want to see if their design is close to the desired specs.

Last few heroes were uninspiring to say the least.
