I give it money, I give it time, and I put in the effort to make it better.
I don't just point out problems, I try and offer solutions.
I say all that simply to denote what I am going to say next. "It is a train wreck of a travesty" No, Iconic sunglasses? That's like taking the ears off a catapult or making the Madcat into a humanoid. Took away what was special and churned out regurgitated nonsense.
This mech is ugly as sin. And not even a bad ass ugly, just a boxy, blither mess. I know you guys are working on clan mechs but good gravy man, could they at least put in a "Little" effort?
I am just very disappointed.
My Solution is simple. Take it back to the drawing board. (like that's a realistic option)

ho hum, at least we got that madcat... except the uglier "1piece" mw4 legs are being adapted... and square arms... and we don't know what the 3d model will be.
oh hell what have i done with my train of thought!!!

1)Rework Head Shape for that canine/feline/demon-like feel with fangs and overbite instead of dull looking underbite
2)Make it more lanky, the actual mwo Banshee is as wide as an Atlas.
3)Make a human 5-finger hand or some 3-5-finger claw.

on the other hand it leads to less "ambitious" designs... at least it looks better than the TRO drawings
i´m just happy to have a new assault in the upper tiers and waiting for the CB versions now...

Erm.. you mean the one with the Timberwolf in the foreground? To me this looks a lot like the actual mwo Banshee we got. It is wide is has underbite and that ducked-in head???

^ All way to wide, the lowest looks allready like an Atlas. The right IWM Miniature is that 600year old boxy primitive tech model of the Banshee prototype. And the left one does not look like a Banshee at all. So no all those three do not look like a 3050 Banshee to me.
Those are the references!

Yes, I think the head shape is the main point of peoples concern.

The forehead and visor is from 11X, but slopped back to look more serpentine and less gorilla like, to fit with the Aztec theme.
While the mouth and chin is from the 1E, it even retain the 4 fangs from the design but the upper fangs have been shift to the side to look like a piranha, to give a sense of feral.
The 1E's gaping mouth looks like hobo teeth.
Douchy popped collars at the cheek have been removed.
"Third Eye Laser" have been turn into "Tiki God Flame Mouth".

And both the 1E and the 11X variant pictures are very late artworks that came with the decline of Battletech Artwork from beeing serious looking designs (mainly by the artist Loose) and turning into the ugly comic-like look which started around TRO3067 and that culminated in the massive uglyness of the Dark Age mechs!
Those fugly looks are a good portion of why the Dark Ages are declined by most Battletech/Mechwarrior fans. The Dark Age Designs addressed children with their toy-like looks and therefore disgust most of the more mature military fanboys that the Battletech/Mechwarrior fans are. MWO up to now did good to address the latter as they have more money and more attention span.

I agree about Dark Age minis being ugly and comic-like, but it's the first time since we got MWO I've heard somebody call Loose's designs "serious"
I agree that they're way better than DA ones, but compared to MWO they are just goofy, 80s style-terribad.

And then tell me - which one look like jokes - and which ones could actually be working war machines?

I'd settle for taller, skinnier and with a proper head

I mean, you were really expected a rounded form or something? It's not an Emperor...
Take the actual elements that make the design, and improve. Not make it into Al Bundy.
