So it is with some embarrassment I realize that new players cannot request help in the Battle Academy: Online thread. Although BA:O is a tactical thread I also want to help players there.

So if you need tactical advice to help you learn your way around MW:O, or need a Mech build, just ask and you shall receive!

You may want to know why you need me to help you with builds when you could just do it yourself. Well I have over 60 Smurfies bookmarked, most likely 70-90 made in all time. So I know my way in and out of almost every Mech (even if I don't own them I normally end up liking any Mech I make, and if you give me the details I'll give you a build).

As for tactics, I won't bore you with details. But I have a lot of tactical experience under my belt.

Shameless bump.

Since I have to have a reason for posting, I will share this build, which I feel will help newbies with Light Mechs.

Ever get annoyed by those freaking light Mechs? I mean honnestly they are so hard to hit and move so fast and can tear your armor--

{PLEASE STAND BY}

Then the Eden's Guard CN9-A is for you! It isn't a Mech with a flaming sword (that'd be cool though), but it does have SSRMs, and LB10-X AC, and twin Medium Pulse Lasers for maximizing your chance of hitting those light Mechs!

Bumpedy bump bump.

Need to throw your cadet s at a shiny new Mech? Operation Ugly Day has been declassified, and these are the meanest Mechs you'll find!

Don't like this or that about the builds? You're supposed to fine tweak them!

I personally would be happy to not only give advice here, but also drop with you and help coach you on whatever it is you need help with. Just fire off a request on this thread and we will be happy to help.

Yes, I'd be happy to help some people get on their feet. They can get the hang of the Mechs and observe how a more experience player would fight.

Granted I haven't had much time to play, but you get the point.

Maybe I should do video tutorials. Or MechCommander 2 tactical campaigns.

<.<; Corner shooting LRMs!

...'cause I'm too lazy/busy trying to avoid college classwork (and thus drowning it) to make a tutorial on it myself.

I'll offer my help with training as well. I am no Koniving, but I far rather well with mediums, and can teach the basics of that class of mechs.

Both!

Someday I may create one myself (forum post guide of some sort or video tutorials), but I'm quite inexperienced at this game and learn things pretty much everyday.

I've already mentioned it a few times but I'm planning to recreate MWO/MWLL on Mechcommander 2 when Warlords of the Rim Colonies comes out. It'll be epic.

I'm currently working on a summary guide to piloting every mech, with some basic tactics explained in advance. I'm thinking of folding my Mech building guide into it as well.

Here's the link, I appreciate the feedback.

Here's the link to the mech building guide:
10 Commandments of Mech Building

This one is my guide to every mech. Got distracted by the FS9 and the BNC Chassis coming out, however I will be working on it again pronto.
Guide for every mech

EDIT: Actually, starting today, work is gonna go full swing on the big guide since I am done with the new mechs.
