However, I do recall one time (older codex) where my Deathwing went up against Sanginary guard... Lets just say, Death wing 5. Sanguinary Guard 0. (They have higher initiative, but I made all my +3 storm shield saves, and then "THUNDERHAMMER SMASH"...)

I guess He Who Shall Not Be Named's idea of balance is to make everything OP and broken.
Anyways, this thread is meant for awesome 40K, so I will not start a discussion on the Spiritual Liege.
However, have you guys seen the Elysian Drop Troops army list?
It's amazing, of course I need to sell at least 4 limbs and 5 internal organs to afford it, but I think it might be worth it.
Valkyries everywhere. Even in Heavy Support and Fast Attack slots.
For those of you less 40K oriented, this is what an Elysian Trooper looks like.
They are basically US Rangers IN SPAAAACE!
I am actually interested in starting a proper Imperial Guard army with multiple regiments (Catachans, KRIEGERS, Savlar Chem Dogs, Elysians, Cadians, Armageddon Steel Legion, Tallarn Desert Raiders, and possibly some Vostroyans thrown in for good measure)
Just thinking about it Makes me want to Smash things and build a monument to the Emperor and Imperium of Mankind.

i wont disagree with you Draigo is so broken. but since then entity of a grey knight army cos much massive point its not as bad and if you wanna do about broken what about all the other broken models abandon to name one.
and go IG armys just a warning thou IG army are....temperamental to say the least so make sure you have something to counter evrythign you meet in at least on of your army builds that and do not anger the tau you WILL die before you get in range and there damn crysis suits will slaughter you without taking a damn wound

Most of my Imperial Guard have been used models. I just break them down (if I can) and resculpt them (pose them). Actually, my used models always seem to come out best when I'm done with them... (Makes no sense.) Maybe it's because I'm more limited in options and I'm more reckless with remaking them than when I'm making a new model...

My Guard are a kit bash of the Cadian and the Catachan. I only have a few kit bashed models, but there was only so much I could do to the used models I owned, as well as didn't own the Catachan parts at that time...
You seem to be going "Skittle Marine" with your Guardsmen... Which can be fairly cool.

I have not played against or with Draigo yet. But so far, I haven't seen him as too powerful in the new edition. But, not having experience...
I play my Guardsmen similar to my Tau, set them up to take on, and out, anything. I might not be great at any one thing, but I will never feel hopeless either. I tend to favor Platoons and Heavy Weapon Teams, with a dash of Leman Russ and other tanks...
I... am one of THOSE Tau players. I use and love my Crisis Suits. I will abuse any "blocking line of sight" terrain... I have had many matches where "You lost, give up" "Um... you see that last Crisis Suit there?" "Yeah?" "I haven't lost yet... I can still win with that one suit left"... *Continue to play* *Wins with my lone suit left to my name*
...
Does anyone else have pictures of their models (Past and/or present)? I'd love to look at your stuff...

However, once I get settled (Still dealing with some immigration stuff) I'll get to work on my IGs, and I plan on supporting them with about 2-3K points of marines (basically a full company, with Landraiders and stuff).
However, first I'd need to set my turn-crap-to-gold alchemy operation.

Well, it sounds like you had to scrap and start over a few times...
And, let me know how that "change stuff to gold" thing works out. I'd love to know the process once you have it down...

Problem with the Battle Sisters: Codex is digital only right now. Models are very expensive.
They are still a nice codex to play though. My brother plays them from time to time.

Flamethrowers!
And CHICKS!
And Chicks with Flamethrowers!
They are cool. Very cool. However, they are all metal, and a squad of just 10 of them is like, $80. (Use to be $35.)
For more information on Battle Sisters and their pirces: http://www.games-wor...atId=cat660002a
(They are one of the oldest armies still, and are in need of model updates. However, it appears as though Gamesworkshop is trying to remove the sisters army completely... uncertain as of this time though. They did just update their codex in the hardest way to get.... digital copies only.)
A good place to go if you play for looks and don't care about the rule: http://www.games-wor...GameStyle=wh40k (I play for looks personally. Then try to make an army that works within the looks department.)
My brother likes to (jokingly) have silence, as he paints up their boobies...

Not to mention they're also BIGGER than an atlas. If you take Commander Plachenko, or whatever his name is. (The Vostroyan commander) His ability of "Send in the Next Wave" basically allows you to remove a unit of yours from the game, as casualties, and then on your next turn, you enter an exact copy of it fresh with full numbers and equipment, and identical in point cost to what that unit originally was, from your side of the board.

Will do, Also, what are "skittles marines"?

Yeah, can't believe I forgot about them.
If you ever want an army that has no shortage on awesome, and fire (Their battle cry is "CINDERS AND ASH!!!") Then you want these ladies. They wear space marine grade power armor (minus the Black Carapace implant) and carry bolters, while being regular humans. Just because they're hard like that.

2nd Ed. Rules were mostly awesome. Except for how awful Lord Solar Macharius was like. Now that I think about it, they really need to pimp him up to his reputation in 6th ed.

He Who Shall Not Be Named, is mostly trying to remove them from the game. Along with the Sisters of Silence. The Sisters of Silence are a more badass version of the Sisters of Battle. They're like Female Adeptus Custodes, to the SoBs, being female Space Marines. Also, EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. is a Psychic Null. Yes, if they made an army for them, they would Tea-Bag any psychic/demon based army just by walking up to them.
They're so badass and effective against wizards and psykers, that Lemann Russ himself had a contingent of them escort him during the Burning of Prospero.
Portrayed awesomely here

Skittle Marines. Making an army of Marines of every color possible, making them look like a bag of Skittles were dropped on the table. "This here is my Dark Angle marine. This over here is my Ultra Marine. Over here I have a Salamander marine. Don't forget about the Sons of Horus, before the betrayal colored marine..."
I take it is the same person who created the Necron Codex, and screwed over the Dark Angel Codex? (You can tell the armies he likes and doesn't like...) Is he gone yet? Because the last few Codexes haven't been too bad... Not so one sided one way or another.
Linksdx, on 14 March 2014 - 09:13 AM, said:
Depends. Are they fighting the Grey Knights? They probably wouldn't be fighting each other, so they wouldn't be aiming to disable them. (From my limited knowledge of Null Psykers. I play Tau. "What's a Psyker?")
