There's been several times where drawing the enemy in is very beneficial.
Imagine it.
A lone light, maybe a Cicada moving round and standing on a rock, opens up with a set of floods, putting out a blinding field of fluoresence, pumping out some med/heavy fire with lasers or cannons.
The enemy team turns to engage, the bait shuts off the lights, and your teammates open up on the rear of the enemy!
