Greetings, Mechwarriors.

We are the BlackStar Alliance and at this time Ghost Competitive Team (NA timezone), our competitive group participating in the Marik Civil War is recruiting. Currently we are a tier three ranked team. We started out in the first Marik Civil War Campaign, sat out the second and are back again for the third. I know what you're thinking... "so what?" Well, if you have gotten this far then read a little further.

Here in the BSA we are a laid back group that practices three nights a week. Practice is mandatory to playing in tournament games. You must be able to attend at least two nights a week. In addition to practice requirements you must be able to listen and follow directions. Competitive play leaves no room for cowboying. Also, we practice the lost art of respect for our opponents. When we defeat other teams we are respectful and when we get beaten by a better team we are just as respectful.

Lastly, this is a competitive team you are interested in joining. Not a random group of people thrown together to pug stomp (that would be the rest of the BSA). We maintain an active roster that caters to our best pilots. Simply joining our ranks does not guarantee one a roster spot. If you decide to apply and you are accepted you will be given every opportunity to prove yourself capable. However, if things do not work out and you have been found wanting you are free to leave our group or stay and hang out with the rest of our guys that do not participate in our tournament games.

While a certain level of competency is required, most of the finer points can be learned through experience.
What really matters is how much of a team player you are. If you can work with your lance mates and can quickly follow instructions, we'd like to hear from you.

The Regulan counter-attack was on! Beset on all sides by enemies, the retaliatory push into Oriente territory was spearheaded by the venerable Blackstar Alliance. The Night Watch represented Oriente interests on the planet, but ultimately their defense, while brave, proved insufficient. The battle for the planet represented an interesting set of combat conditions, since the planet was sufficiently dense to render Jump-Jets ineffective, while mild electrical disturbances in the atmosphere could easily render PPCs and ECM inoperable. Nor in this fast-fought engagement, was either side able to have mixed-arms support arrive - the battle would be determined by aggressive 'Mech action. However, no environment is too daunting for the forces of Regulus, or anyone we (in our infinite wisdom), decide to hire!

The initial engagement of light combat forces took place in the early evening in a minor city near which the Blackstar dropship had alighted. Both sides quickly engaged in combat, which did favor the Night Watch in rather decisive fashion, leaving nearly all of their lightest company intact. Some of the Blackstar pilots later complained technical difficulties - could Oriente spies and saboteurs have infiltrated our ranks? In any case, they needed to regroup to assert their position.

The desert which covers the majority of planet was the site of the next two battles, the following day. Again, with relatively little prelude, the forces which consisted of a disproportionate number of lights and assaults quickly engaged in battle. After a very hard-fought fight, Blackstar emerged victorious, with all their light force intact, and ready for use in future fights.

The major slugfest of epic tonnage would prove to be a turning point in the battle for Hassad. BSA stuck to the tried and true combination of Atlas brawlers with Stalker and Cataphract support. In a bold move, NW relied heavily on newly acquired Banshees. While the Banshees inflicted massive damage on the Regulan forces, it was insufficient to bring down enough metal in time, and Blackstar won a decisive victory.

With the enemy on their heels, the final engagement pitted the surviving light force of NW against BSA's survivors of the past two battles. In a surprising move, the Blackstar commander decided to engage the enemy in an urban environment, despite the fact that this had backfired rather seriously before. Nonetheless, Blackstar emerged clearly victorious, driving the Night Watch from the planet.
