WTF, maybe if PGI had 41 million they could have double their Dev team, they don't even come close and the Founders packages only raised what 1/5 of that?

That money goes to Developing content, not only that it allows for more allocation to a specific resource. IF PGI had that support we would already be where we need to be.

You want to drop 1k on them and help their development but don't want to do the same for PGI and wonder why their dev team is lacking?

The answer is not that they didn't release what not in time but the fanbase to such a game. SC generally will attract more people because of the Genre they have an edge. PGI needs to pull ahead, focus getting CW out because that's all that matters.

Not really. I played roughly 25 matches for this tournament with just two mechs (BJ and GRF): lasers in one and LRMs in the other. Rarely used arties. Got me 14th place so far in the Davion tier with 2038 points.

if they succeed he's gonna be here to reap the benefits and if the fail he will be the guy saying "see, see i told you so, i told you so". Then leaves to go to a new fledgling game and starts the cycle all over again.

I'm a little sad I can't compete. I saw the sign up but wasn't sure if I'd have to work Saturday as I work Friday and Sunday normally. When I found out I was off Saturday I rushed to sign up in the a.m. but couldn't.

I believe I could easily add 1500-2000 points to house Mariks score...

Rank 105 for Archon Katrina! Maybe I do 2 or 3 more matches, but I doubt to rise further up. It's a shame the score-formula is all about kills and nothing else...


Edit: Is there any way to know how many people participated? Am I 105 out of 110 or out of 8000?

Edit2: Rank 86 now after those 2 last games.

The tournament is just a joke currently, dont think that too many people participate in it, cause its just an annoying "strike on any movement" weekend as it was the last time. they should push all players that Opt-In to another server just to save the normal players from this braindead madness...

I wonder why there wasn't an explanation if it were something we should consider important in a faction tournament.

The formula is this, as stated on http://mwomercs.com/tournaments:

Kills × 20 + Kill Assist × 10 + (Damage Done – Team Damage) ÷ 15 + Wins × 20 + Loss × 5

-> and following this out of all your single drop matches, the top 10 are added for your score.

After 1 match yesterday (MS: 113) i am rank 1507 for our beloved Archon.

Will do more matches later but this should give you an idea about the participation.

Actually I was wondering how the whole faction score is calculated, not just my individual score within the faction. The numbers are too high to be a simple sum of the top ten in the faction, ad the number of matches played indicate it is more like an aggregate of opted factional player matches.

As far as I know the overall score is the added scores of the top 50 of a house. This is what the rules said after all... Makes sense if you divide the rough 100000 by 50 you get an average 2000 points per top-50-player.
