I was on my clan mech account and was in the Dire Wolf. My issues were compounded by the fact I'm only decent in lights and mediums......
The amount of times my team ran off and left me tonight, or I ended up trying to stymie 5-6 enemy mechs to buy the team time I lost count of:)
I seldom had control over what happened to be honest, though I feel I can wrestle some of it back if I'm in something fast. Usually I am capable of being much more aggressive in a faster mech, more of skirmisher to be honest.
Give me my Hunchback 4P any day of the week:)
But yeah Kjudoon-that argument is a rather silly one and one usually only spouted by good players that seem to not want to own up to the fact that part of their good stats and/or success is down to their team mates. In this game, there are 23 other people that all affect what you can do-all you can do is make the best out of any given moment.

More importantly, why are all Atlas not like that guy? An Assault mech.....assaulting something??
BLASPHEMY!!!

Because D-bag teammates start running away at the first sign of enemy fire.
Then they watch their teammate Atlas get picked apart after he seriously wounds 2 or 3 enemy Mechs, then they charge in and Cherry Pick the wounded. NO BALLZ

Yeah, that's why..

I've gotten to the point on Terra Derpa, that I no longer bother with any strategy beyond rushing enemy base whether I get help or not. I give up trying to say "Stay out of the PuG Zapper" anymore because they won't. There's this mass delusion that victory is always found there. So screw it. It's that or might consider I powering down and go get something to drink or watch Youtube till the match is over. Once I see proof that the PuG Zapper has finally lost it's allure, I'll consider participating more on that map.

This is the sort of match I have been having, and bear in mind-I stink in assault mechs:

Today, I bought my first clan mech, the Kit-Fox. It was a long and arduous process.

Step 1: Log-In - One of the few aspects of U.I. 2.0 that doesn't make me grind my teeth.

Step 2: I click on the mech lab tab to identify a mech to sell, now that I have mastered the commando, I decide to sell the variants that don't have ECM to make some room... for a Kit Fox with ECM.

Step 3: Aimlessly navigate menus trying to figure out how to sell my mechs, because I rarely sell mechs and can't remember, you'd think you sell them in the same place you'd buy them... but nope. Shortly after I navigate back to Home -> Inventory -> and manage to sell my mechs. Great. Now let's buy a Kit-Fox.

Step 4: Identify which Kit-Fox I want to buy, I know that I want the one with ECM of course! The process goes as follows:

Mech Lab -> Filter: Purchasable -> Light Mechs -> Select Kit-Fox D -> Mech Details -> Shucks, no ECM -> BACK button.

Back in the Mech Lab -> Filter: Purchasable (again) -> Light Mechs (again) -> Select Kit-Fox PRIME -> Mech Details (again) -> Shucks, no ECM (again) -> BACK button (again).

Back in the Mech Lab -> Filter: Purchasable (again) -> Light Mechs (again) -> Select Kit-Fox S -> Mech Details (again) -> Shucks, no ECM (again) -> BACK button (again).

17 menus later (most accompanied with a couple seconds of load time) none of the kit-foxes have ECM, so I turn to google, blah blah omnipod arm C blah blah. Whatever, I'll buy the Prime.

U.I. 2.FAIL

You know, you could have just read any of the bazillion posts about the KFX chassis, and the pod lists. Woulda saved you all this time.

Or they could have just designed U.I. in a manner that gives players the information they need.

It does. It doesn't show non-stock pods, but by this point, with all of the talk about them, and all the lists that include them, it should be considered public knowledge. I see your point, don't get me wrong, but at the same time, I don't see it as a fail. Anyone could have easily realized that if all three had no ECM, and there was ECM somehow, it must be from a pod that isn't stock.

Case-specifics are irrelevant. If you want to buy a new mech, and you click on 'Mech Details' for 3 different chassis to compare hard-points, you need to navigate 17 menus accompanied by load times in order to do so. How is that NOT a gross failure in the U.I?

well i'd like to report minor progress being made in this. in several matches recently major fighting has taken place in the F6/F7 area AND...wait for it... teams are actually taking MULTIPLE paths to the zapper instead of clogging up one. sure the first one is the same ol Zapper but i've had up to 4 friendlies actually sneak around with me and make a flank/rear assault! sometimes the zapper blob moves when we attack even, but that's still a work in progress.
