I was in a group queue match the other night and we came across a hellbringer that was repeatedly one shotting or at least close to one shotting every mech he looked at. What was suspicious was the fact he never overheated and was alpha'ing almost continuously. He finished up with six kills. Not at all unrealistic but the speed with which he was firing laser vomit Alpha's and the duration of time just wasn't right so we reported him.

I should feel dirty but I'm forced to pay on the laptop this week and it can only handle lrm boats. My catapult C4 is getting some serious use bringing quad lrm10 rain on people's heads.

What's more interesting is that I'm quite good at lurming or so it seems and just watching that rain fall on somebody's head constantly is kinda fun in a sadistic way. I don't even mind when a light turns up my FPS goes to pot as I frantically try to shield and run away and I'm helpless.

Oh what the hell the game hates me I may as well get some good scores in. Even if that 500 is proving elusive (several matches just short of it though).

Got called a Cheater beacuse I killed a Sun Spider in my quad peep Warhawk.
I got the drop on him and nailed him with 6 bolts. He then proceeded to hug me and spray lbx2 fire all over me. I just hit his CT till he was dead

Right tonight I had half my mech shot off from behind twice and received more damage from freindly fire than from the enemy in half the games and then had the usual morons in crutch...I mean clan mechs literally parking behind me while I get torn to peices.

Got pinned and couldn't retreat in my Urbie because the brave assault team mate was using me as a meat shield and filling my back with laser fire.

If the Piranha was completely deleted from existence in the past and future of all timelines of the multiverse I would be okay with it

The plot thickens just had a match where a kit fox was last Man standing so he ran off to find their afk found it and killed it then spent the next five minutes staying away wasting time before people including me started calling for him to just finish it. So what does he do, hits override and suicides. Pathetic kdr coward.

Also had in two matches the usual shadowcant driver snipping from the edge of the map and missing half his shots.

I thought clanners were supposed to be brave, honourable and skilled warriors. Not in my experience.

Teams tonight are amongst the worst i've ever seen. And Alienized can back me up here. i seriously wonder if some players are out of diapers yet!

Been a while since I have felt this clueless.

Tried playing Assaults last night in GQ as part of a three man (after most folks went to bed).
Boy do I have no clue how to position.
Died to Piranhas, died to gauss vomit, died to HGR, all within the first few moments of the engagements. Never did more than 300 points of damage. Finally decided to just announce my intention to push in to the enemy so that the rest of the teams could use my worthless *** as distraction or momentary meat shield.

Enough with that. I'm sticking with fast heavies and mediums. I may not do much better but at least it's more fun and I don't feel like I am tossing 90 tons into the crapper every time.

Fatties took me a while to like or i should type a while before i stopped just being a large target for the reds to focus fire at. ok i still end up being a large target more often then i like. i found that putting a single LRM10 (GASP BLASPHEMER) with 1 ton of ammo, helped me tremendously get over my tendency to rush in and die. that and playing an AMS/ecm/LRM/ML KitFox that basically just protected Fatties. which in turn let me see what good fatties were doing. also helped that i have a huge amount of time in Locusts sneaking up on Fatties. so i kind of had an idea of what not to do.
that typed Fatties are not for everyone. it takes a knack to know when to spend that large amount of armor you are carrying. too soon and your dead for nothing, too late and your team is dead...

Now I'm not anti Lurm, I find Lurms a nice relaxing option, at times, Easy mode to knock up a damage score..

But...

People that put Lurms on a Madcat II then think a back up weapon is a tag.

Should be horse whipped until they put at least four ERML on their build..

typing of assaults with LRMS. still my favorite Atlas the Super Stock Boars Head with a Single LRM10 and 1 ton of ammo. the new light engines make it much more tanky. of course it helps when your team mates back you up...
