Haha, Frozen City and River City night are my worst maps statistically. Ironically, last time I looked Frozen City Night was my 2nd best. Only difference. . . Heat Vision :(

Not liking the complete silence from PGI regarding all the bugs (and there's a lot) with CW. Not that we didn't expect any of course but a little acknowledgement of the problems that have been highlighted on something that PGI have apparently worked very hard on would be nice.

*sighs*
Smarmy Davion players in the forums making gloat-posts about their CW successes. They have a much higher pop than us or Liao, constantly needling people's threads in our respective faction sections gloating. Ghost dropping their way to victory then gloating about it like they have done something special.

Looks like 100% of my time will be spent ramming my Katana through Davion hearts it seems....budo can be so very demanding....

<SCREAM!>

What the heck is up with the teams I am getting matched with.... This last one I did more damage than most of my team added together...and I was in a 35 ton mech (almost 900 dmg) ... did they even mount guns?

Then the next game all the assaults went off in random directions......

Not so much "liked" for the Davion hate, rather, "liked" for the simple fact that we should all certainly come together to hate arsebucketry, and the people guilty of it, in general, and collectively, EVEN IF the perpetrators are flying the same banner as I am. ;)

You, Good Sir...have exquisite taste.

Lately I've been all about the classic "One & One". Some call it a "Boilermaker", but most everyone calls it "delicious".

As for my whine:

Every time I decide to tackle a new Light mech, I find myself wishing I could drop with a different alias temporarily...it's just that damn embarrassing. ;)

Made the mistake over the weekend of doing a couple of CW drops with my 3 Raven builds and my trusty JM6-A, thinking it would be a great opportunity to finish maxing the Ravens out (finally). Turns out the REAL opportunity was to be "sub-par" (even for me :D ) as many as three times in each match!

And past couple nights I somehow found myself caught up in the insanity that is the LCT-1V, using IraqiWalker's guide and loadout.

All I can say is, if I were a Kuritan, I'd have set some kind of record for "number of matches that should have ended in seppuku per hour".

Seriously, we need some kind of "Shadow a Light Pilot That's WAY Better Than You" training program up in here. :P

Couldn't agree more. Light mechs and me do not get along. I have every kind of respect for those who can make those things dance, because when I step into one it apparently makes them spontaneously explode as soon as an enemy mech is in sight.

A very unusual 2.5 odd hours on mechwarrior tonight and not a single victory to speak of. Every single game we got stomped and a couple of matches it was like id forgotton how to play and did abysmally!

I've not played boreal vault at all in about 8 games begining to wonder if they've deleted it to do their changes. So stuck with the awful sulferous rift map.
Was enough to make me quit cw and go back to public queue where again our team just fell apart.

P. S. Bored to death of fighting clan mechs. I want to fight is opponents. I want to push further into steiner territory but no the only matches available are on the same planet fighting the clans.

I've had that tonight. Game after game team just melts away.....me in a vindicator nearly always one of the last few, in combat most of the match...HOW do some of these guys die so fast?
I have an alt account that is about to sign up with Liao to fight the Davions, I just cannot stand by whilst they have St Ives! the thing is, do I have the will to survive the pug queue to level the mechs I need?

I have some 'shine made from Saskatoon berries and honey and Teff. It melts your face. Care to come over for a drink? Park your Mech in the driveway -- door is open.

It's not so much Davion hate per se, but rather hate for the FOTM people who are flocking to their banner now they see they are a big and possible "winning" faction.
Seen quite a few on my buddy list do that, oddly timed after the Davions started ghost dropping planets away from people...This ghost dropping thing really needs to stop.

My whine: what Community Warfare has brought out the once-hidden underbelly of the MWO community.

Toolbags taking over the CW form with their insane notion that every social interaction must end in them "winning" against the other person by claiming to have "more skill."

Are you bored with CW maps and game play and dare voice your opinion? No, you're really a "bad" who "is the sux"

Have you noticed that most top-tier teams are running only a few mechs and a few tactics and want more diversity through more varied objectives vs. nerfs? No, you're really a "whiner" who "wants to nerf Clan mechs"

Are you not part of a major unit in the game? Then you must be a "bad" - I guess all the tryhards were born in their units - and are "too stupid to buy a good mech and get on coms, because anyone can do that."

If you point out how mech quality and being on coms pretty much decides most CW matches, then suddenly buying a good mech and getting on coms morphs into "skill that most people can't have."

If you point out actual bugs and design flaws in the CW battles, you're "a bad who doesn't have the skillz to following the same repetitive win tactic against disorganized PUG opponents while part of a large team."

It's tiresome, idiotic, and laughable. I'm thoroughly disgusted at what CW has brought. The buggy, shallow gameplay can be fixed since it's only Beta, but the arrogance and childish behavior displayed by shrieking tryhards is maddening and not what this game needs. The only good thing about CW so far is that it seems to be removing those tool-bags from the public matches and allowing them to fight their repetitive epeen comparing contests elsewhere in the game.

So THAT is the meta fedcom is using to take planets even when it looks like they've been successfully defended. Get on when no one is playing and claim the forfeit???. I cry foul on that pgi. I don't think forfeiture due to waiting is fair to anyone if that is what is happening. Like sniping on auctions. Dirty pool, old man.

And if you mention this in the CW forum even though it is now a known issue, it won't be 5-minutes before you're accused of having a "lack of skill" since you're not interested in exploiting a game bug to win a meaningless, 3-handled "you're winner!" trophy. Still, the attitude and behavior CW has brought out of some people is worse than the bugs in CW itself.

I also forgot one whine:

Dear heavens, why can't this game have a good experience for new players!

I'm not talking about how badly they'd be mangled in CW, but even in the basic game... In one match this week, I spectated on a poor guy in a trial Dragon on our team wandering around a Km from everyone, lost in 3rd person mode. I told him how to get out of 3rd person, how to group his weapons, how to read the range increments on his weapons (full damage range and max range = 2 times listed range for everything but missiles, etc.) I don't fault the guy, but he shouldn't have even been in that game based on the demonstrated skill level of everyone else involved, and I'll be shocked if he keeps playing... I hope showing him some kindness vs. laughing at him and calling him names helped, but still... ugh... this game so badly needs a "cadet corner" for new players where they get full training and are only fighting other new players or basic NPC's.
