..... Yes community warfare is a steaming pile of dog ****.

This is a computer game it is supposed to be fun a bit of escapism not spend every single match and more hours than i should of allowed over three nights losing.

Its becoming clear that you cannot drop into cw solo. Im so fed up of trying to attack clanners too. I cannot remember the last time i fought an inner sphere team.

So I'm going back to public queue at least that works.

Er... I've been dropping nothing but solo, and I've got about 50/50 wins and losses. I've even been part of completely rag-tag pug groups taking down groups consisting of one or two units. All it takes is for everyone to be on more or less the same page and listen to whoever takes charge. Of course, the times when noone did listen or noone took charge things got... embarrassing.

Yep, I feel ya man.

Just saw you in a match on the Bog (your team won 07), and I, in my LCT-1M (2nd match ever in that mech, and, let's be honest, I'm not exactly the best Locust pilot out there ;)).

The thing that got me in that match. I'm in a Locust. I know my role is to scout, and harass. I flank around the outside and try to sneak up and take little pokes at you guys, hoping to 1). distract at least a couple of your team while theoretically the rest of my team kills you, and 2). be a nuisance in general.

Problem was, several of my team seemed inclined to follow me. Which meant your team wasn't turned toward our front and distracted, since our front was moving to your back right along with me for some bizarre reason.

Like I say, I'm not a Locust master, but I do know that the bread and butter of those little guys is sneak attacks of opportunity. Imagine my chagrin when every time I tried to run in and sneak a few shots in, your team was lining up to face that direction due to the odd "Follow the Locust" tactic so many of my guys seemed to be trying out.

I did manage to rack up a walloping 34 damage though. Since, yeah, I still need to "lrn2Locust". :P

*Edited because your team "won" not "one".

your mistake was going forward. most PUGs will imprint on whatever mech goes first and follow it whereever regardless of what the mech is. so you need to wait for someone else to commit to moving, then run off and do your thing.

but it serves you right for evilly striking down my poor spider-urbie yesterday with your Locust also in the bog. on the other hand the fact that spider-urbie had the highest damage on the team (6 assists 320ish dmg) i suppose should be the basis of a separate rant :)

to keep on the ranting thing though- stop giving me consumables santa- i never use the damned things.

Haha, that was a great match!

Funny thing was, I just saw "Spider with one leg...quick, kill it! This is what Locusts are for!". Didn't realize it was you until after you died and the message popped up. Poor Spidurbie...I salute his memory, and promise he shall live on in our hearts, and minds, and in a trailer park hidden somewhere on Atreus...

*sighs*
Smarmy Davion players in the forums making gloat-posts about their CW successes. They have a much higher pop than us or Liao, constantly needling people's threads in our respective faction sections gloating. Ghost dropping their way to victory then gloating about it like they have done something special.

Looks like 100% of my time will be spent ramming my Katana through Davion hearts it seems....budo can be so very demanding....

"Ketsu, madamada owarenai ze."

My apologies for those idiots. I personally, along with many of my HHoD unit mates, respect the DCMS greatly (In fact, the 11th damn near terrified me last night with their brutal efficiency).

Not so much "liked" for the Davion hate, rather, "liked" for the simple fact that we should all certainly come together to hate arsebucketry, and the people guilty of it, in general, and collectively, EVEN IF the perpetrators are flying the same banner as I am. ;)

Amen brutha.

I just quit in disgust. Why cant PGI get it through their heads that a feaw high ELO lights can not carry an entire team of window-lickers like people on the other team with high ELOs in direwolfes and timbers?

Worst matchups, even worse players on my team with the worst attitudes/team chat rants.

Some days the windshield some days the bug...

Sums up CW, and the whineing about CW, so far. Attacking and counter attacking can be brutal. Especially right now with every one still programmed to brawl not cap. Don't help that the stocking stuffers are based on match score. So far the winning strategy, IMHO, is blow the gates, ALL THE GATES, then form up and rush to the gens then omaga. There are some others that work but this works the most offen.

Lots of confused players out there right now being this was the first weekend of CW. The change to 3 gens then omaga did not help. But all in all have had some very enjoyable games. There are plenty of "vets" out there willing to try to herd the pugs. Still looking at stomp when facing a 12/10/8 man stack with pugs but that has been true since the begin of time.

Given a little time these maps will be figured out a basic tactics hammered out. Just like all the maps. Nice to see a few things starting to become std. C2 ecm erll taking out omaga, wait till the red defenders stack up inside the left gate 2 or 3 arty in their lap then push thru, snipping by attackers is so far a no win but it has worked in at least one game, and of course sending lites in one gate while heavies push the other.

One tactic that was a nightmare was a 9 timberwolf rush. They just jumped the gate and game was over in 3 1/2 min. Nice work they broke up into 3 groups of 3 and hit the gens then the 2 that survived arty on omaga while JJ dancing and pouring on the fire. Other 3 were ecm lites that made a real PITA of themselves. Nice work I salute you.

OK enough on that.

My whine for today...

Stop whining OP and try to figure out how to crack that nut.

I have come to the rather ego crushing conclusion that all of the "progress" that I have made in this game since I started in the summer has in reality been a steady degradation of the games hitreg mechanic. Since PGI announced the laser fix I have been terrible.

Well I am off to put lrm's on everything I own with missile hard points and go back to wading in the kiddie pool with my peers.

sadly there is only one solution for players like us Neheb: play groups only with capable people.
the solo pug queue is so far away from good gaming that i feel dirty after a while.

yeah you showed up right after the PPC blackjack ran screaming in terror from me after i red CTed him with one of my last AC10 rounds, he legged me then ran around the corner to get away instead of trying for the other leg. i think i used the last round on you then was left to my mighty SL backup to hold you off. needless to say it didn;t work in my favor. :)

I was in my Gargoyle.

Both team lines settled in.

I typed out to my team "Hold position - I'm flanking"

....they all followed me.

Really make you guys look bad sadly. You have a massive population advantage yet your players keep taunting and rubbing it in. Very low class behaviour.

because us Huginn pilots got a hard job to do.
and we know and share it.
the passion for the mech. the passion for wasting enemies in seconds.
the pain to be responsible of carrying either useless campers or stupid lemmings.

the pain to solo kill a commando, rush into 5 mechs and killing a important LRM stalker, run away one legged chased by a firestarter, killing half his mech just to see where your team camps as you die. inside one square behind a rock/wall. 11 mechs. doing nothing in all the 2 minutes you gave it all to win.
to see that you done more damage than anyone of your team in that short timespan. to see what could been possible if people would have more brain and intelligence to play as team and not just dumb camping.

and finally, getting called ******** for pointing their stupid gaming out.

yes thats really alot to deal with for us poor huginn pilots.

*feel i was running an endless mile....*

See, the Haiku duels back and forth actually became fun, and sporting. Every now and then, someone will brag or try to create an actually offensive attack, and that just ruins it.
