wonder how those proud folk will feel when the season ends and everything resets back to the original staus quo for the next season washing away all their unopposed victories.

They'll probably whine that the only reason it happened was because of the "badz" with no "skillz."

Right now, I'm getting the biggest laugh out of ghost conquests and drops, where teams are taking undefended planets... lol... that's apparently the new tactic used by the tryhards - if you can get a victory without even fighting, that clearly proves you're even more "skilled" than everyone else... sad when exploiting game bugs that allow you to get around even having opposition is now considered "just part of the game."

Most of them I'm left to assume challenge toddlers to basketball games and 100-year old women to arm-wrestling matches in their free time - anything for that meaningless win and that 3-handled trophy... The final irony is how many of them are playing Clans when they lack the basic honor to even fill the roleplaying shoes they pretend to achieve... noble warriors bred for combat... focusing on taking planets with no defenders... laughable and pathetic all at once!

My whine: what Community Warfare has brought out the once-hidden underbelly of the MWO community.

Toolbags taking over the CW form with their insane notion that every social interaction must end in them "winning" against the other person by claiming to have "more skill."

Are you bored with CW maps and game play and dare voice your opinion? No, you're really a "bad" who "is the sux"

Have you noticed that most top-tier teams are running only a few mechs and a few tactics and want more diversity through more varied objectives vs. nerfs? No, you're really a "whiner" who "wants to nerf Clan mechs"

Are you not part of a major unit in the game? Then you must be a "bad" - I guess all the tryhards were born in their units - and are "too stupid to buy a good mech and get on coms, because anyone can do that."

If you point out how mech quality and being on coms pretty much decides most CW matches, then suddenly buying a good mech and getting on coms morphs into "skill that most people can't have."

If you point out actual bugs and design flaws in the CW battles, you're "a bad who doesn't have the skillz to following the same repetitive win tactic against disorganized PUG opponents while part of a large team."

It's tiresome, idiotic, and laughable. I'm thoroughly disgusted at what CW has brought. The buggy, shallow gameplay can be fixed since it's only Beta, but the arrogance and childish behavior displayed by shrieking tryhards is maddening and not what this game needs. The only good thing about CW so far is that it seems to be removing those tool-bags from the public matches and allowing them to fight their repetitive epeen comparing contests elsewhere in the game.

Well, it's the internet. I'm afraid these sorts of odious skidmarks on the fabric of the underpants of society will always make their presence felt in any online game by virtue of being loud, arrogant and frighteningly low on the social intelligence scale. You don't notice the guys who play nice with others because, well, they don't make a nuisance out of themselves. The squeakyvoiced dingleberries hanging from the hairs on life's posterior, on the other hand, are easy to notice and may therefore seem to make up a disproportionate amount of the player base even if they are a small minority in reality.

Personally I like to let them know that "Your complaint has been registered and will be given its due attention within 4 - 6 business days. Your opinion is important to us. Have a nice day."

Why, yes. I have in fact spent a significant portion of my life working in customer service, why do you ask? :D

What the hell is going on today? Every single one of my teams has been chock full of mentally challenged inbreds who couldn't pilot a giant stompy robot to save their lives. If this challenge is what's drawing out the morons then I may just take a break until January because I am ******* sick of playing with these clueless idiots.

Thanks for letting me rant. Best thread ever.

Wtf is wrong with this game?

Why is the MM such a POS over the last two nights and about 3.5-4hrs of play not a single ******* victory and only one close game to think of in both CW and public games. Glad i refused to give pgi any more MC purchases recently.

Maybe its a sign that i should really hang up my mech keys throw my coolant suit at the charity shop. Cancel the mech accidental damage insurance and uninstall and erase all traces of this sucker from my computers. And go and tinker around with my mountain bikes instead for something better and more fun to do presently like trying to get a cannondale headshok to hold pressure better.

not MM*s fault imho. just the awkward playerbase.
most of the skilled guys drop in CW and whats now in solo queue/group queue are basically some awesome solo droppers and a large majority of playing trash.

If thats a sign of things to come where skilled players are dropping with units in cw that skews the public queue and gives a heavy handed bias to cw matches where dropping solo lands you against said unit ignoring coms. Then my predictions cw has broken the games back for me.

i expected that to happen at all.
CW is and will always be the main feature of this whole game. its what its all about.
solo puggin was always terrible tho :P
people just dont want to learn for ****. just seen a kitfox following my myst lynx instead of sticking with the group. ofc the kit fox got murdered and done only 28 damage because a a solo kitfox is just plain idiotic. still people do it.

people = stupid.

Yep, I feel ya man.

Just saw you in a match on the Bog (your team won 07), and I, in my LCT-1M (2nd match ever in that mech, and, let's be honest, I'm not exactly the best Locust pilot out there ;)).

The thing that got me in that match. I'm in a Locust. I know my role is to scout, and harass. I flank around the outside and try to sneak up and take little pokes at you guys, hoping to 1). distract at least a couple of your team while theoretically the rest of my team kills you, and 2). be a nuisance in general.

Problem was, several of my team seemed inclined to follow me. Which meant your team wasn't turned toward our front and distracted, since our front was moving to your back right along with me for some bizarre reason.

Like I say, I'm not a Locust master, but I do know that the bread and butter of those little guys is sneak attacks of opportunity. Imagine my chagrin when every time I tried to run in and sneak a few shots in, your team was lining up to face that direction due to the odd "Follow the Locust" tactic so many of my guys seemed to be trying out.

I did manage to rack up a walloping 34 damage though. Since, yeah, I still need to "lrn2Locust". :P

*Edited because your team "won" not "one".

Mad, there isn't any mm in cw. Its lord of the flies in there. Strangely though... one of my previous criticisms of respawns is turning into a benefit I enjoy. The ts cameraderie from my unit and socio-political OOME aspect of the propaganda war here on the forums with lore crafting and FRIENDLY banter has been a blast. Yes its not perfect but it is fun. But there is no 'balance of results' going on... only 'balance of opportunity' and that can get REALLY ugly some days.

you must become one with the locust ^_^

in the lct learning to read the map (both mini and maxi) is a skill you must use. not only are you looking for the red guys you must know were your own team's blob is at. if for nothing else to keep the noobs from shooting you  but mostly so you know were to run to when the red guys find you and start to chase you.

now for the lct1m i had a blast with the littlest lrm boat ( http://mwo.smurfy-net.de/mechlab#i=152&l=4580db045f391c041de2e24468643df1cbc6f380 ) (sensor range mod and air strike were must haves) and got lots of tag points and assists. but it was a dead mech if anything with good aim or a fast mover caught me. also got lots of raging from other players as it was about useless in a brawl, but if it could get out alone about 900m behind the reds well it was as annoying as a couple of mosquitoes in a sleeping bag. avg about 40 damage and 680xp per game. but it was fun

good luck with the locust. after a bit they grow on you.

You must become one with the locust because there is no room for you inside if you don't.

I was declared to be on a blabber mouths "list" because I didn't rush over to where he was calling targets. As usual he rushed headlong into the enemy and got smoked in his "scout" mech.

He does it every game. Just tired of it.

edit: should be noted that everyone was on the other side of the map dealing with other targets.

INGAME:
frustration to point of rage quit
i swear matchmaker is giving me the biggest bunch of idiots on my team i have ever seen over the past 3days
2 kingcrabs pilots that can only do 52 and 68 damage for and entire match.
no they did not get flanked they were in the pack with all of us.
they just decided to rush form the hill down into the advancing enemy team instead of waiting (leaving a better strategic point)
LURM timberwolves i mean what do u mean? if there was a useless player its guys that use a Twolf for this.
The stopping on a flank near the entrance of terra therma -> PUSH in or forget the match
Standing directly behind the scout light that is peeking over the hill, another great succes.
and they last but not least LEARN TO PLAY (aim, movement, map strategy, use of consumables)
really i want the matchmechanic from LOL with skill level classes from bronze to paltinum or something that doesn't put me in the same category as these kind of players

out of match:
Forums
again guys that dont understand the quirkening was a real field lvler for IS vs CLAN
ill tell u why
some mech stick out in preformance with head and shoulders, the others are still crap
thunderbolt vs TW (both are hell)
kingcrab/ banchee VS direwolf (make no mistake that this is serious competition)
the stormcrow is the best medium (mech in general)
the firestarter: the best light
sorry that (all) your IS didn't get buffed to the level they can take on a TW
do u c many summoners/novas/gargoyles/myst linxes in comp drops; no?? guess what, they aren't as good as the godmechs
same reason your everyday IS mech don't qualify...
so now stop bitching about nerfing/boosting certain mechs...

and could the CLANS stop fighting each other in CW and focus on fighting the IS B)
Clan vs clan is best in trial (private matches.)
If u wanna know who is better in CW finish the race to terra in first place...

P.S. I feel much better already now that i vented this out.
