well i had just the same problem as cookie yesterday. 1 win out of 14 battles or so. it was depressing.
took a break then, played some group drops with nice guys (that allowed me to play **** while drunk ) and it was fine again

I'm going to break the pattern of complaining about everyone else.

My whine:

Those days where, for no apparent reason, I just suck. I mean, I always suck, but some days, I suck appallingly badly. Never really understand why, but some days I'll log in, and be totally unable to pilot my mech to save my life - in a very literal sense.

Sit down, all keyed up for a couple hours of fun in stompy robots, then get brutally murdered again and again, and worse: be totally aware that it's my own stupid choices and ineptitude that's causing it. Still, next match? Derp, derp, herp. Log off, then go play something else.

It's one of the worst parts of being very experienced with the game. You get really good at knowing why you failed.

My whine. Passing a group of paralysed heavies and mediums with my Dire Wolf, asking them to follow me in, and then round a corner to engage an enemy. After I nearly tear down one of the 3 mechs there before I have to turn away I find that the 5 mechs I passed are still hiding.

i regularly have to do that with dragons. or summoners. because the assaults are hiding as well.
lights usually pretend to be a advanced rear torso armor for the assaults as well.

what makes it worse is: when i play a atlas D-DC i have to faceplant into enemies because it has a optimal range of 270m. now i do what it should do. do you think i get support?

its not that you cant see where the fat boy is moving. its also slow.

My daily whine has to do with the meta-gaming of ambushs. i mean, the last few days
i noticed certain games, really stupid ambushs. not the ones where everyone hides
in an area under ecm, waiting for people to show up into the ambush. I'm talking about
ones where they are in camo that matchs the area, like theta on the terra map.

Not only that, but they shut down waiting for people to go in & then ambush them. One
group would be inside waiting to ambush, the other would be outside somewhere. Each
group having the required camo for their area. it's like what gives, you can't actually
fight normally? You have to resort to getting just the right group to drop, so that yu can
sweep rather then duke it out?

I see this happen the most on Viridian Bog, Terra, The dish map, the canyon map and
the The Mining Colony. I see a lot of the camo matching for the Forest colony and
Possibly Forest colony snow but i am usually too far away to notice if they power up
because i am sniping the general area to flush them out, so i don't think my sensor
reachs that far in game

Only had one chance at the end of week before last before I was out of town for a week.
No info in why it will not let me order it when I tried.

which sort of reinforces that strategy,
and makes it difficult to say how those weren't especially "gg"s.

one game, massive damage, seemed like every shot was spot on. hitting solid objects.

next game, 55 damage. every shot looked like it hit, but it was like shooting blanks into phantoms.
