Frankly I'm amazed people still think it is.

Clan tech definitely is not op. The last two cw matches ive had over the last two nights have both been 8 kill games first match my locust 1e got most of the kills the second game my pretty baby with an xl engine got most of the kills. And in all honesty most of those kills were the metaclans tw and ryoken.

So two rather underrated mechs by many carried our team, yeah clans are op. Nerf the locust and pretty baby......... Don't. No really don't.

Because...no one have a rack on board.

Yep, neither clan nor IS mechs are overpowered.

Which is to say, neither clan nor IS mechs can overpower gross mismatches of skill & strategy.

CW is pretty silly that way.

It's the insane heat on clan mechs. You can fire small amounts of weapons and the heat just VOMITS towards the stars. In Cw I've noticed if you can get them brawling, we IS have huge advantages in rate of fire and actual fire contact time. The clanners have to banzai or fail. If they fail to get to ogens they just CAN'T fight in a protracted gun battle.
Now what I see Is do a lot of is stand in front of doors engaging in a ranged stand up slugfest...which is EXACTLY what clan mechs want you to do...then same players whine about it being OP...LOL much?

Just got CT'd by a Kintaro in my fresh unscratched Cicada in one alpha...first ever rage quit. Before I could get screen shot, all his srms went ct, all my other bits stayed fresh just ct stripped and cored in one shot... not saying it, but methinks the something smells foul in Denmark

thats what i always said. clans are stronger at range but once you get them close inside and keep them there you can kill them pretty easy.

no one listens tho.

Nah, ppl try to snipe with ac20 and medLas mechs and then blame their team for losing (although they are usually sitting in the king crab or DWF) instead for helping others push. Way more funny this way, evidently. Maybe it's just plain dumb, but hey, maybe its Maybelline, we will never know.

But tbh, I totally agree with you, a good, agressive push, possibly before the clanners are well positioned usually ends in them overheating more quickly. Looking at the weapon balances (especially fricking ghost heat) it's easy to see that IS is favoured in melee.

it was like that lore wise, it was like that even before the quirks. it is even more after them.
IS weapons always had far less range so all the mechs are somehow made for brawling compared to the clantech which has a undeniable range advantage. BUT they can only use it as long as they can cool off. thats not working up close when you get chased.

Yup, exactly my point. But I see to many ppl trying to snipe with IS instead of seeking a brawl (although they have actualy brawler set ups, sooo....wtf?) and then complaining about clans being op -.-'

because reasons.... complaining is always easier to look at yourself and see the mistakes there.

Cicadas are all ct except the little bit that is legs. I find even when I am trying to twist away from a laser it all goes ct until I am about 100deg away from it (Yes I made that number up. No I don't have an empirical data to prove it.)
