What an experience Kam.

There are good players in teams that are getting left hanging out in the cold by people who have quit or given up on CW because it you are either the baby seal or the clubber. The environment there is far worse than what the group queue ever was, and yet, there are many who enjoy it more.

Kam, you hit it on the head when you pointed out that maybe there aren't enough people in his unit on at that time to run CW. This is true of 90% of all units right now if not more who don't have more than a half dozen players on at anything but the two hour prime time before the ceasefire in North America. So what do they have to play? That's right, the PQs, and even then, they may not have a teammate to play with, so that means the solo queue is their ONLY option to play the game.

Then they're 'just folks' like everyone else there.

Because of my hours, I'm lucky if I do get into the group queue with a few friends from my unit after midnight my time. Even then, the quality of the matches is often so bad in the group queue (obviously drunk/stoned opponents or teammates) or lance practices from the hardcore teams populate it, you just quit after a few matches because you don't even get to enjoy the win.

Alien, there are more than a few here, that deep down in their heart do not beleive you are a real person. They are that sociopathic, we're just a Turing Test away from being considered an App in their minds. It's part of why they're here, and not among healthy people. They're very damaged people. You may not believe it, but it's true. Of course we all know about those being bullies. E-bullies thwarted are sometimes some of the biggest mouths and terrors after they've been thwarted because consequences are often hard-pressed to be visited on them. Some people are here because they cannot accomplish anything in real life and use this as a surrogate. When that's challenged by anyone, they rage. Immaturity and youth is a large part of it I guess. For some, it's their mid life crisis. I don't know. I just know they're here.

What I never understood about it is, that the only thing limiting people is themselves and their own attitudes.
It's like 2 teams of people playing football on a grass field. One team sensibly wears football boots with studs so they don't slip over. the other team wears sneakers and slips over constantly.
That team whines that it's unfair the other team have boots.
The ref suggest they put on boots themselves so they don't fall over.
They reply "we don't ant to-we just play for fun" They continue to fall over.
Other team says "we'll lend you some of our boots, so you don't fall"
They say "No! why should we? We play for fun-not a job!"
Game carries on.
Team carries on whining about unfair boot usage. "FIFA! PLEASE stop these farmers from wearing boots cos' it is not fair they have advantage!!!!!"
FIFA says: "erm guys....why don't you just wear boots.....?"
Team says "Well if you don't we will quit and your league is stuffed"
FIFA bans the use of boots.
All teams now fall over constantly. Except the few teams that get made to play on a pitch on their own, because they sensibly wear boots....


Sounds crazy right? But that is EXACTLY what we have in MWO.

Time to jump in on this. End of round players who instead of going after the heavily weakened enemy in a 2v1 go after the bloody fresh mech that tears them a new one, then that said 1 remaining runs off to suicide because they are mad the whole team is asking why they are not killing the weakened one first.

just had my first experience with what may have been an aim bot

a jag on caustic... no matter the range, no matter how much i twisted.... every shot hit my LT...every single shot......

unfortunately i don't have video of it....

I just figured out why this sudden uptick in talk about having Solaris ready soon for players: The clans and their "Trials of... position/traffic/probate/derpitude/whuteverz".

Due to unit rules I cannot use the proper language to express what I think of this.

Solaris could be very interesting. Betting on matches and gambling in general could be a very nice distraction.
