How the hell do you get 4 or more solo kills? Best I can do is 3 and it doesn't cut it. I'm 36 on the Misery board but I expect to go well below 140 tonight. What's the secret? Is everyone a super ace that can rack upp 4 solo and 2 ordinary kills every match?

Timing when to steal the kill is as important as killing a mech solo.

Also, an AC 20 really helps.

They are grossly op and quite unfair to be honest-sick of seeing people with them today *grr*
The bad person in me has enjoyed ruining their games for them.

I'm really SICK of people surviving damage that should kill them. TBR earlier took x3 14 er small laser volleys into his rear Ct....and LIVED. An arrow just now, took 4 60pt alphas...and lived....utter rubbish!

If it makes you feel better, due to my children watching netflix (puts my ping over 600) and this essay on Penal Substitutionary Atonement that is due tomorrow, I haven't had a chance to ruin anyone's night in it yet Also, I am great at being awful in good mechs, I do much better in my terribly UP ultralights.

Ok, what is up with people today? I just had a series of 4 matches where my team acted like they were all lobotomized. Had a streak crow that didn't use R. Was always at max zoom, and fired his streaks at 500+ meters.

Another precious sample was me getting killed by a WHK, and the griffin who came right BEHIND the WHK absolutely misses it. By misses it, I mean walks right next to it, and keeps going forward.

Yeah but a solo kills gives 30p and an ordinary kill gets you 10p.

Today I took sadistic..almost perverse pleasure in running a 6 lrm5 spammer down, shooting both his ears off, legging him and then simply walking next to him. I let him think he was gonna live, then cored him. Then taunted him..."where's your LameRMs now?!"
The reason I did this was..he focused me the entire match doggedly spamming away.He was also hiding at the back of his team, letting his team tank hits for him...... I had to spend nearly 7 full mins hiding. that REALLY irks me. So torture it was!

he had a Medium Pulse laser that he kept on flashing at targets + TAG, and would keep attacking a mech, until the game switched locks for him (didn't work so well staring down an Executioner, and a Summoner). Suffice to say. He fired maybe three salvos, and I think only one partially hit.

It takes time. Not sure if you piloted other Assaults?

Getting in range is the hardest part. And the most interesting too.

If not: First of all: you will die alot. Second: you will die alot. Third: you will hit dirt.. alot!

But twisting is what you need to do. Face huggjng is fine, but under 270 metres. Before that use your two arms to soak up damage. Because the opposite will always try to target your CT and ST because if your -so easy to spot- silhouette of the Atlas.

I never liked AC/20. One slap and its stripped and disabled. Keep an eye on layouts of other mechs. But if you go with the AC/20: timing is the key when you pull your torso back to the front you should trigger immediately your AC/20 (in brawl range) and then twist again.

Stripping armor and critting internal components with a alpha is what you should aim for.

It sounds easy but it's not.
