I know it's statistically possible. If you figure an average of 7 minutes a drop, that's 3 straight hours of losing. Who the hell beats their head against a wall for 3 straight hours. At some point before that I'd have to take a break and bandage my head.

I played 10, lost 8 last night I logged off.
All my guys got was our 3 man put up against 8,10 and 12's. Our team comprised multiple 2,3 or 4's. I tried talking to each set of small groups only to mostly receive silence. One group decided we spoke the wrong language and just ignored us utterly.
It probably was the single worst evening on mwo I've had.
I don't mind being beat-but I do mind not having fun.

I avoided comp play because I hate the attitude the players have at that level, I despise the meta huggers and tha cbills pay for damage spam. Now I'm forced into it.

WoT did it right.
Max group size=4
Tank companies (like private matches but you earn money and xp still)
Historical modes ( we could have say, 3025 tech or 3039 tech etc)

Not once in that game have I felt I got pugstomped.

So WHY do we have this group queue where we are pitted against much larger groups or a full twelve man? I'm seriously hating the AWFUL attitude of the solo players gloating at us-having one 4 man in your pug match isn't the same at all as having a 10 man ahead of you.....
Also the self righteous types who spew and spout about adpating and "it's fine" newsflash-if people are not having fun it's not fine....

If it was only 1 group on each side in a pug match there would never have been an issue after going to 12v12. It was frequently multiples. Elo's for many people who predominantly dropped in small groups is a bit inflated because of this. Given time, your experience in small groups in the group queue should get better.

I meant the one group now could have been the winner. I rarely saw more than 2 groups in my elo range anyway. The leap from 1 maybe 2 groups to comp level 8+ groups is huge. It was a type of player I had tried to avoid due to my loathing of the comp scene in this game-I'm hoping it'll get better but I don't think so.
Last night wasn't fun for me at all.

I'm entitled to state that fact and not have to suffer the ignorant l2p rubbish.

I went through a short period of adjustment after leaving my unit and dropping solo almost exclusively. Like I said, it should get better. How much better? That's up in the air, as they have said the group queue has more trouble Elo matching.

You have been around long enough that if you still need to "L2P" we probably cannot help you anyways. :) /

Having said that, that kind of frustration is what this thread is for.

I've been getting competative team "PUGS" in the 12mans. Basically different guys from the same competative units who are just in different companies playing mix and match. the result is still a high level E-Sport team versus casuals. Result... the typical stomp.

I have noticed that when I do participate with some of our own competative teammates in a group of 9+ as one of these same Esport PUGs, we dont get roflestomped, but the 1-3 non TSed members filling in the rest are the difference in costing the battle most times. Its just not as bad of a stomp in most cases or at least a somewhat competative loss. Fewer than 9? Forget it, you're a mudhole an elephant just danced in.

As for the 30 matches, I have now 35 or so in with less than 5 victories. BUT I finally broke 200 damage and got a few kills. It just requires teaming up with teammates who are competing at a very high level in this game. A level of devotion and play I refuse to undertake. Im here to have fun, not define my identity. No, I'm not badmouthing anyone. I'm pointing out that this game is a distraction, not a devotion and should provide no more stress on my life than driving to the barber or a restaurant where something good will happen.

Of course, as Shar points out. I am stubborn on some things.

matchmaker IS broken

I was just in a match (solo PUG), on a team with TwinkyOverlord

there is no earthly reason I should ever be on a team with a player of that Elo

One outlier match does not mean the matchmaker is broken. It means a release valve opened because someone was waiting too long.
