This is such a healthy thread (no sarcasm), we should have one that's a daily QQ. Seeing as though we have nothing but 'nurf dis thing here' threads.

Venting the frustration rather than letting it build up is frequently healthy.
(How frequently? I wouldn't know)

Though I was under the impression that this comboed as the Daily QQ - or do QQ's not count as whines? :)
Most of those "Nerf Now!" threads though - would not get the response they want here. :(

Every single game tonight loused out with lrms. Spent at least 5 games stood still for 90% of it unable to move, as entire team was just cowering.
One match, we spent just over 12 minutes straight trading lrm fire. 3 of my team were unable to fight till the last 2 minutes due to us being 270m range mechs.

time to spam the ecm mechs methinks....

Only time I got butt hurt was trying to play a D-DC half the team isn't just inside the ecm umbrella, but trying to make a home up my *********

its worse than having a honey badger clinging to your ankle, and far more annoying

Got stuck in the toaster oven a few times last night. As expected most of the fight happens in the center and you just have to work with it. So we take the center on Terra and set up firing lines so all looks good right. Nope, one on the team this running across the choke points and up into them. Now the rest of us have to hold fire not to hit him AND get hit by what incoming fire misses him. I relocate after taking a few hits and having to hold fire thanks to ****. Finally I had it, as I was pounding a stalker and had a great position to shoot clean but avoid much of the return fire, when you know who backs up right into my face. One alpha to his back followed and he turns to face me. I held my place as I still had a place and lock on the stalker. Bright boy did move in time before I took my next shot as I was quite willing at that point to put a second round into his chest if he continued to stand in the way.

Today,

forest colony... I kill 4 with my Firestarter - H, then I hide behind center water island with another teammate with a 2x ERPPC light Clan mech, I'm still, he fires its PPCs on my right rear torso!!!! BAAMMMM After this we are 10 - 9 for enemies and this mech and another survivor go hiding in our base... to lose.

alpine peaks... Firestarter - A, at start my lancemates go for north instead of go east for I9 hill... then I write on chat "wrong way xxxx noobs" (I went crazy when players want to lose on Alpine)...I was chased throughout the game by one of these lancemates with a Jager... I was able to do 2 kills always with this fool on my back with MGs and PPCs!!! In the end I'm also survived and we won :D

there are valid ways to win on Alpine going to the north, bum rushing the hill isn't a guarantee for a win

With only 2 mechs? :D If the 99% of team goes for I9, no reason not to support it

I wouldn't know about honey badgers - only critter up here that really clings to you are the mosquitoes.
Learning to position yourself around the ECM is apparently rather awkward though - I sympathize with you there.

Depends on what they have and how they are laid out up there.
If they have a solid LRM setup - you are more or less walking across open ground there.
If they have brawlers - the back of the hill there can let them wait in ambush and gut you quick.

Still better than a lot of the other options (rarely seen walking around the bottom of the mountain work) but there are still reasons to not as well.

Sending a quick mech around the bottom to H12 to check on what they have is usually a good idea
(especially if they have long range weapons to plink at the enemy with) but most PuGs do not have the patience for that

I loved falling off of cliffs, shooting dramatically going "pew pew pew" all the way down while the other mech was like, "oh noes! I'm being Hunchiedtm!!" Then his mech was like, KABLOOEY! and my team was like, "YAY!"

PGI, please don't cramp my style.

Why... why! Why is every Wednesday evening, no matter how bad or well I personally play my worst day for getting wins?

Most other days I get about even win/loss, but Wednesdays without fail get me 4+ games before a win... I don't get it...

I feel for you. Patch days used to be horrible for my ping more than my win/loss, so could barely play half the time, but both have improved. Being a patch day, especially with new MM and people testing that out with grouping seems to have made it worse than usual for a Wednesday. However, Wednesdays on average have remained constantly bad for me for a long, long time.
