Oh well, pre-match screen. You check out both teams. Their side has plenty of players with unit tags and barely any lone wolfs. No unit tags on your side and at least 8 lone wolfs. And I guess everyone here knows how such a match turns out. Kinda depressing to realise what's coming, right at the beginning of a match :(

I wonder how well having a unit tag actually predicts player skill.

All I know I set up a unit of one, and only to get one of those fancy unit tags next to my name. Didn't make me a good player. :P Although maybe it'll make the enemy mistake me for one, and thus works as psychological warfare.

I've seen a few "legion of 1" type units before too. but yeah the unit tags are about 75% likely to be on the other team when I drop as well.

and thanks 3nx and bullet I thought I was going nuts trying to figure out how I keep finding myself taking command all the time in the middle of a brawl.

Frozen Colony.

Two enemies remaining tried to cap our base. One enemy was disconnected from the start.

Our full team, numbered with huge margin was on enemy ground. Base-side.
What does our team do...runs with all man back for our base for two mechs. Including some Assaults and Heavies.

What were you thinking? I just go for the enemy's base and managed succesfully capped it. With more people it would have gone faster. But jeesh, the pugscrub mentality was strong here.

And not to mention when some of the guys finished the remaining enemy of our base they tried to search for the disconnected guy while i gained points and xp by basecapping.

'Look at the points moron' shouted by random guy to me. And then they asked if i was mad. Not mad but dissappointed is a good word for the amount of stupid i just saw.

Incredible.

I lost a match where our team started capping the enemy base just before the enemy team started calling ours. Our team had usher to their side of the map. I was in a light mech and fairly close to our base so I returned to base to try to stall their cap while my team took their base. I ran around and around stalling and dad my fire from 2 assaults and some other mech. More and more of their team keeps showing up and eventually I die. It is then I realize that my team left the cap on their base to walk the whole way across the map to walk single file into the enemy team and die one by one. I was very impressed indeed.

So as usual, playing on a Sunday evening through Monday morning, because insomnia...and as usual, seeing the derpiest games humanly possible.

The issue nowadays is that with PSR, I think Sundays are really gonna mess with me.... I do relatively decent most of the week, then have games with teams that get wiped out within the first 2 mins of a match, before I even have a chance to do more than a couple hundred dmg, so my PSR has got to be rocking back and forth like my brain does after a few hours of Weekend Warrior gameplay.

Add to that, I've had nothing but the same 4 maps today, over, and over, and over...it's like the rest don't exist...gets a little dull.

Been thinking a lot lately. If I can get my k/d project done then I'm out. I'd like to quit now but I like the thought of leaving something unfinished even less.

I was playing and it suddenly struck me. I'm not deriving any enjoyment from the game anymore. I've played a lot of matches since the PSR went live and if I was somehow artificially higher than I should have been it should have bumped me down by now. Instead I get the same matches, today I've played 9 matches most of them stomps. Yesterday was a bit better 12 games and 7 stomps. People claim it works and maybe it does, not for me though.

When you're in a bad mood before the match even starts I think it's time to take a step back and rethink things.

Take a break and play a more relaxing game. If I start to get really frustrated with the composition of players on my team, I turn off MWO and fire up KSP or Elite or something else that is far more chilled out.

Obviously if you're dead set on quitting, we can't stop you. The game will naturally create stomps though. Focus fire is what wins games, and it's much easier to focus down enemies when there are 12 of you and 9 of them. It snowballs from there.

Out of curiosity, what is your k/d project?

I take alot of breaks. Wait untill rebalance and then decide again.

Lately more grouping again with my Unit.

also do you have the vid?

lol no sadly, then everyone could see how truely unimpressive my game was..

Taking into consideration the splash damage of a single CERPPC it means I hit a total of 13 times in a game of about 10 minutes (most rarely go full time

Pgi is obsessed with snipe warrior. The pinpoint damage now is mad. Also my yen low wang is almost useless its a paper weight until the last third of the match when people eventually close the distance when it shines but running around behind your team for five minutes hoping they'll close in is plain boring. Only to find a nova sneeze and poof there goes that ac20 which if you ask me is under quirked.

obsolete mechs are great fun. a lot of folks have forgotten how to take them down. hehehe

on CW

had a couple of great games lately, puging of course. both on defend and in both my last mech was my cn9-ah up close ally brawler. both matches we were up but omega was wide open. so while the other guys went hunting i just hid over by omega and waited. both time an arctic cheetah broke through and snuck in to get the big O, you know if you hit them in the hip with 3srm4s and an AC20 from under 50m they kind of stop moving. not the leg or CT but the hip from the side. after that it is cleanup time. also helps if you have your UAV left. once you get low signal pop UAV and circle around.
