Wait...you are traveling from the UP down to the twin cities for the purpose of going to the Mall of America? Like, that is your actual "goal" destination for this trip? You poor fellow.

Ok as a native who despises that place with the white hot intensity of a thousand suns, allow me share with you a little game/tactic that is fun to play with those who "just have to go to the mall!":

Every time you walk by one of the more than a dozen sun glasses stores act like that is the store you came all this way to see. Insist on going to all four of the caribou coffees and act like it is the greatest thing ever. Make a point of hitting all three "LIDS" stores, both Famous Footwares and every god damn t-shirt shop (there is at least 20) in the place...the more mundane and mediocre (but repetitive in its locations) the store the better. At each and every one, every time, act as if it is an awe inspiring and life changing experience to be there (doing this in both Victoria's Secrets may get you escorted out, so be careful).

Do that, and your visit will be short, and you will never be drug there again.

Oh and don't forget to check out Sears! Closing soon!

Just dropping by. No love for the Victor I see unless I missed something. Did they give any reason as to why it was the only one not rescaled? Is a 80 tonner really supposed to be as large as a 100 tonner?

Been playing golden oldies like Xwing Alliance a litlle.

If it wasn't made bigger it was a net gain, as many, many mechs that were "just right" or only a little too big were scaled up. Like every 35 tonners in the game (well almost every one I think ravens are still the same size).

PGI went with volume for mech size comparisons instead of other metrics. This makes it so that the closer you get to the 100 ton mark, the smaller the difference becomes. Apparently, the Victor is considered to be the correct size already, so it didn't get rescaled.

Conversely, check out what happened to the 20 ton Locust...

I normally wouldn't bother with a whine, but the Warhammer you got on release was undersized (griffin size, nowhere near CTF or GHR) overquirked (about as good as the BLK-KNT quirks), and had great hardpoints and above-average hitboxes

If I had to spell it out, it would be two letters: OP

Even after the nerfs, it is a T1 heavy. (and has more extra structure than the new skyscrapers Black Knights) One of the very best mechs in the game.

If you want a mech that actually feels like wet toilet paper, pilot the new Firestarters/Wolfhounds/Panthers/Jenners

Or the Myth Lynx. At least those mechs can bite hard on demand...

I know that that Warhammer is a great mech. But that match is really confusing that I'm beyond angry because I get destroyed very quickly.

It happens from time to time. Maybe the other team had someone commanding and they called a focus fire on you? If that happens, it doesn't matter how tanky your mech is - you'd pop a ST or CT very quickly.

Antiwhine: I have rediscovered my love for trollflamers. ECM + 3 Flamers + UAC10 / LB10X = lots of rage from the opponent!

Heya guys. I'm just returning to the game after a large break. I just got a new mech the Highlander II. I'm wanting to buy the skills with experience (of whigh I have several thousand. IE 4 or 5k) but all the basic lvl skills are locked. Is there something simple I'm overlooking. I've spent some time scanning the load out and skills tabs but I can't come up with anything. I sure could use some feedback. Thanks in advance.

Match last night. 4 of us in group queue. Running a shadow hawk that I am leveling, others were in a cicada, a rifleman and an ebon jag. t3, t2, t2 and t4. When the match started, the biggest mech we had was a night gyr. Enemy team had 9 assaults, including 4 kodiaks. Plus a player from ISEN, two Lords, and at least two other players that I recognized as being very good. Drop was on HPG, domination. Perhaps the most one sided stomp I have yet experienced. Sigh.

Matches tonight have been weirdly brilliant. Short sharp and intense just the way they should be everyone has just been diving straight into some great brawls.

But why do people see an awesome and think hey easy target to be al alpha'd in the face with 67.7 of damage.

Doing it right this way. I can't count how many LRM assaults I've run into this event...including a Spirit Bear with 2 TAGs... =.=

I too was confused about how squishy my WHammers seem to be, even the BW. I got repeatedly crushed way before I could get, say 300 damage and could not survive a face-off of any kind.

A couple of nights of playing has made me change my mind, though. I had to adjust my play style a bit, since I was so accustomed to more tanky Marauders. Now that I realized to maneveur more, I'm having more a lot more fun. I think it's variants have vastly more ...variety than eg. Marauder or Catapults (only other mechs I own).

Suprisingly I think the most fun has been the energy boat one (all tough DAKKA-BW nets me constantly better damage points).

I'm running this and last night it finished off a king crab and a banshee in no more than two alphas each and a cicada in one.

So sick of selfish heavies and assaults who vote in Conquest just because it's got a C-Bill bonus.

Guess who has to end up running from point to point? Not them, for sure!

-lets their rear CTs get eaten up-
