Well it really depends on map+mode combination. Polar Domination is sort-of alright. Polar Conquest or Escort? Get rid of that crap.

Same thing goes with things like Crimson Straits Domination or Escort. Those two are probably the worst-designed map+mode combos to ever exist.

Also holy **** can we turn down the postprocessing shaders on these 'redone' maps, please? Can barely see ANYTHING on evening/night versions of River City and Caustic!

the latest patch/hot fix has seriously broken hit reg in this game... and I doubt PGI cares about it at all

So so tired of the endless try hard whining on voip in QP matches.

They know how it is, most have played the game long enough, you don't like nascar, take control, if your not willing to take control, and control does not mean whining about nascar.

Shut the hell up, go find some friends, and go into group play, where you'll get all the organised play your ego needs, or take a goddamned hike.

I cannot...CAN NOT play the Kodiak 3. Been trying to play a couple of QP matches before work (so as to not force folks to drop tonnage when we play in the evening) and it has been a nightmare.

Running the 400 with 2UAC5 and 2UAC10 and it is such a pig and big target that if I push and don't get the team with me I am dead almost instantly. I've probably played 20 matches thus far and been part of 3 wins and only 1 where I made a real contribution. Most have been sub 200pts. Just awful. Haven't had such a bad grind since wolverines. Gonna rebuild it to a MK-II-1 build and see if that helps. Maybe put those giant swinging arms to some use. Damn. At least I don't have to worry about re-skilling it!

The Pokebear got hammered really hard by whining fatmechs. What's new to see?

Right now, it's got massive guns that can't aim properly at anything smaller than 90 tons because it's so sluggish. It's got a massive frame (as it had before). A NARC is a death sentence to you, as it a spotter light with LRM support. The only thing it can do well at the moment is facepunching Atlases, Direwhales and King Crabs, and that's about it.

As it should be. They never should've given it quad Ballistics all in high mounts.

Actually, now it's just funny to me, because the damn thing never gets buffed now, because it's got such a stigma towards it. (I still tell people to prioritize them when they afford it. Kick the bear-shaped abomination while it's down, I say.)

Also, I can't really find the drive to play MWO or really any game beyond Destiny 2 or Battlefield 1 right now, and I similarly can't find the drive to record gameplay for my channel. It's like I'm stuck in a rut.

Or alternatively, lose the super solo herpa derp mentality and work together and change your ways, so QP can be actual fun.
Even in the super solo queue, MWO is a team game. If people are too antisocial to accept that, then take a god damned hike.

I'll give some people the benefit of the doubt. I've made some terrible mistakes while driving, well, any mech; Splattered like a bug on a windshield by a twingauss Jagermech by a single CRT hit. Torn to shreds in a Dire Wolf by LRM fire after getting NARCed by a Stealth Armored Commando. Both without ever actually seeing the enemy until it was too late.

My point is, it really, really sucks; But it's not always the fault of the player. They could've just gotten absurdly outplayed, and that's an easy thing to have occur in a big gun pinata.

I've just had the most bizarre experience.

Played an Iron Dome support Kitfox, with 3 AMS, because ATMs are really common today (and I don't want to get insta-melted by ATM 48 at <250m). Polar Highlands gets picked.

Opposition is LRM heavy. A certain well-known unit preaches that LRMs are useless and that AMS is, by countering a useless weapon system, useless. I died in my Kit Fox trying to shield Charlie lance from the LRM rain and got 2x HGaussed to the CT while cresting. Still did 400 damage before i died with just 2 HML and a HLL. Not sure where the 'useless' argument came in, but it sure annoys me.

When will these big fat units learn that QP Soloqueue is not QP Group? LRMs and ATMs are really common in solo, much more so than in group. They can't just be ignored, especially on open maps.

Now that's out of the way, I at least got my revenge on said pilot. Legged his assault, put a NARC on it in polar highlands and just left it to flounder about in the shade. Where is your 'worthless' AMS now?!
