sigh.... the teams tonight.... zero awareness, zero willingness to do ANYTHING to benefit the team... zero ability... actually had one team complain about the LRMs on the enemy team, then proceed to huddle together in one spot the entire drop... one spot with zero cover and easy LOS by enemy spotters....

I've only got 4 beers left and thought, for a moment, I wouldn't have anything to ***** about tonight. Then people started bitching that light mechs might actually try to cap a point or two on a conquest map.

last couple days I've been surprised by the number of 0-12 losses I've been getting. I mean I've been getting one sided matche but at least our side would kill 2 or 3 mechs before getting rolled. got to the point where I said the hell with it and brought out the LRM Dingy for a match. we lost 0-12...
on the other hand I've been surprised at how my "Pink" Panther was doing yesterday. snub nose PPC and a pair of srm 4s. got 9 kills in 5 matches with it

So my game is crashing daily at the moment.
People seem utterly incapable of spotting uav's let alone shoot them down....... Then whinge about getting lurmed to death.
What is it with clan mech pilots. They always seem to be getting in the way, blocking you when you retreat under fire and generally just drive into you a lot. Madcat mkii pilots seem to be especially bad at spacial awareness. Must be a crutch mech.
It's glaringly obvious that there's a lot of new players as I'm constantly witnessing noob mistakes in every game. It seems the days of being able to rely on team mates to not do something stupid had past. Seems like the game had had it's hayday and is just getting flooded by steam casuals.

Hate to say it, but that may be a good thing. Fresh population, while made infuriating at times due to a lack of skill or perception, is at least showing this game has an influx of players.

Holy crap I'm playing like complete garbage tonight...
Had a couple of decent matches here and there, but overall, damn. I don't know if it's the fact that I'm trying to play Clan mechs I've never touched before or just a way-way-way off night. Either way, bench me, coach!
For example, playing Timber Wolf for the challenge I started out with one solid match that I felt pretty decent about (2 kills, 7 assists, 560ish damaged) and thought to myself, "alright, we can do this". Next 3 matches blundered into averaging roughly 70 damage per before dying alone to a Red team flanking move or something of that nature (including once by the guns of our very own Bilbo999 <o).
Anyhow. Yeesh. I should call it a night I think.
The good news is, I decided to get all the Clan mechs out of the way first, and now I only have Hellbringer left. After that, it's back to my comfy I.S. rides.

New players keep the gears of the War Machine turning. Speaking of bad games we all have more of those than we want to admit.

Classic Rip-style...
First two matches (finishing the Hellbringer portion of the challenge).
1). Conquest, Crimson Straight. A close match that we barely lost on points in an 11-11 kills brawl-fest. Not my best ever performance, but it was an adequate 300ish damage with a few assists. Feeling like "okay, maybe we're off to a decent start".
2). Assault, River City. Classic cluster up and poke around the citadel match. A Firestarter is harassing our backfield and a teammate calls for help. I'm nearby, so I drop back and kill him for kill number one. Move to the front again to help chase a light off of an LRM-boat on our team. Turn back to the front and see an Annihilator with an open CT approaching, so I alpha, and boom, kill number two. Feeling like this is it, finally playing how I expect myself to play, and even the match is slowly swinging away from us I feel like I'm at least pulling my weight. See a cluster of enemies approaching between the buildings, so alpha again and...BOOM...TK one of our own, who I somehow DIDN'T spot BETWEEN myself and the approaching cluster with the said alpha right to his rear armor.
My apologies, Mechwarrior DOGGUTS, if you're out there! <o
