Now I think I'm a careful player knowing where the cover is but this buff has made it so the team that wins on TD, caustic, alpine now go to the team that packs the most LRM's in, coupled with LRM turrets on small assault maps its bloody awful.

PPC meta was terrible
ac 5 domination is terrible both could have been fixed with a max (not effective) range nerf and a customisation limit based on size of weapon.

but in both these cases positional play and mobility was still an option.

The lrm buff has brought the rain down and on some maps its not worth moving off your spawn point now

Then I will say without reservation- you are a bad player. Other players are perfectly capable, on every map, of handling LRMs. I know. They shoot me all the time. Then I explode. Sometimes,I shoot them first. I believe we call this "competitive".

I have little regard for people who claim there is no method of winning when I see others do so nearly every game, often in ways I would have never expected. To give up when others regularly succeed is to concede your own lack of competence. Uncreative people.

funny, only the lrm, spamer,s with no skill are the only ones that think the lrm,s are fine, use cover , use ams, but there is no amount of cover to hide from 100000000,s lrm,s being shot at ya, ams did nodda before the patch and now really do nodda with 100000000 lrm,s coming at ya, only like 3 mechs that have ecm on them , so i have to use them 3 mechs only to have a chance,
pgi has no clue what thier doing

Perhaps a small nerf to 150 M/s to appease the whiners, but we have a nearly balanced weapon that can compete against the master FLD race.

250M/S would be a little fast for what missiles presently do although we have research in to missiles faster than Mach 12! 1.5 Damage would be a bit much even though I have no problem throwing that at people. :D

Step #1: Over Buff LRM speed to 170 kpm
Step #2: People ***** about LRM speed
Step #3: Bring LRM speed down to ~150 KPM to look "reasonable", but you planned it all along.
Step #4: Community praises "reasonable" Devs.. which leads to
Step #5: Profit

This is planned all along. Watch the minor nerf coming soon.

Yep. And since reason doesn't seem to be getting the scrub stains off, I'm going with the harsher treatment.

There's the stats from the 'Mech I used all tournament and my stats. Fwoosh fwoosh, you can't call me a scrub or the Divine Archer, but I am an LRM carrier and if you're complaining...the problem is you. There are still other options left :D .

Like letting this game rest until this LRM-clownfest is back to normal. If it's not; there are other games; unfortunately nothing in the BT universe.

He, wouldn't have thought i'd touch WoT again after moving to MWO; but at the moment this just isn't fun anymore. Reduce LRM-speed to the previous levels, reduce ammo per ton, or simply lower the flying arc (i don't care if i move behind cover to break LoS or to let those missiles smash into a building, but atm it need's to be about three times the size of you mech it seems). Well, i'll just hope that PGI finds some way to allow different playstiles again. :rolleyes:

The difference betwewn Lrm And Ac or lasers is that you need skill to use the later,aim position etc.When youre just siting back out of harms way and just spaming lrm how is that the same with ac,lasers etc?and hide behind object is a joke...you need to be in a case to be safe....

LRMs isn't just about speed. The big issue with the latest speed increase is that the target decay didn't get adjusted - even if the target gets in cover the missiles still hit. I'd like to see a slight adjustment of decay time + a flatter flight path.

Someone makes a statment, People Like it. A large portion roughly 4 times the amount, like a statement more then a conflicting statement.
