Is this for real? Without mech bonus 123,000 cbills? Thats ok?! Maybe more people would play this game if it was not so absurd...

*Title is sarcasm. They definitely nerfed the cbill gain-rate recently...

I got 123K for an absurdly good game!!! I lost the SS of my 8 kill game payout of a whopping 147K. Sure, 10 to 1m is fine. But if you play well you should be rewarded!!!! Not screwed!!!

That does seem particularly low. I mean you had the damage, the kills, the win, the component destructions. What is low is assists. They add up. If you had touched the majority of the other team in that match it'd have made a significant difference to your earnings.

Draws 130,000 c-bills "without" premium and complains about level of compensation...

1st world Mechwarrior problems.

FWIW... "average" net profit is around 95,000 c-bills without premium.

For me it takes weeks to pile up enough c-bills to buy a mech or a modul, even with a lot of good games. I'm very happy to get 120k per game. Staying around 100k most of the time currently.

The problem is, I didn't take LRMs, I didn't take AC/20s. I actually played a decent game and contributed to a win. I could rack up more assists and pretty easy damage with the new LRM meta without half the work and get an equivalent payout. If this game doesn't reward a GOOD game, then whats the point? Grinding for ..... WHAT? 2.0 K/D ratio (since reset) with HERO mech averages me a paltry 100k per game. THAT IS A JOKE.

If you want a bigger payday do what you didn't do. If you want to have fun and not worry about the pay... keep using what you did. It's MechWarrior not MechBillionaire. Warriors don't get paid well for their risk.

Honestly the rewards system is junk. It was designed with a non-pinpoint meta in mind and heavily rewards raw damage and blowing multiple component's off. If kills credited the killing mech with all remaining possible damage and component destruction's, (Same with blowing a side torso off taking out an arm), you'd see average rewards climbing much higher,. Assists should also be based much more strongly on how much damage/component destruction you did.

No offense but it's your definition of contribution that is slightly flawed...

Right wrong or indifferent, PGI designed the compensatory rates to encourage "team play". Yes, we could belabor over the fact that that smacks in the face of their recently discussed metrics but it "is what it is".

Your example shows a very good personal contribution with an average team contribution and your payout is thus appropriate.

That said... I am definitely empathetic to your point. Been there... got the t-shirt and the paupers pay check to boot. :P

If you want to make C-Bills it's all about Kill Assists and Savior Kills. Everything else is just loose change.

EDIT: Forgot to give a shout-out to Salvage Bonuses. Leg (or headshot) mechs that are carrying XL Engines for big payouts.

The assist bonus and Component bonus were added to try to lead a horse to water... But folks still only worry about their kills instead of the teams success. That is also the main point against LRMs... I can't play my game cause I am getting killed... But that's what I am trying to do. Kill you and yours so my team wins.

 by my Bro!

Had a game with... mhhh can't remember how much it was exactly, just short of 190k without hero mech or premium time this morning.

How you may ask?
Always activated tag laser in the head of my banshee. Tags stuff you shoot anyway, for half of a ton.
Lrm users love shooting tagged targets. Tag assists galore.

I don't know whether the OP is saying C-bills are too low or too high based on his screenshot of an outstanding game, and judging by the lack of focus in the replies it doesn't seem anyone else really does either. A bit of clarification, OP?

Clarity: Does not grasp the premium placed on team-play payout and infers PGI did a ghost-nerf on compensation...

It's about 30k too low for me to keep caring about this game. At the present, you average MOD is about 3m bills. Some of the good ones (target retention) 6m. Average mech is 12m, heavy runs about 17m. I understand the F2P model (I've paid for this game too). It should not take me 170 OUTSTANDING games in a standard mech to afford another. Thats approximately 20 constant hours of gameplay averaging at least 100Kcb. (which is my current average with a 2.0K/D, mostly in my Muro). My point is, there is jack$hit for incentive to play hard. I might as well run around in an LRM ***** flipping through targets to get my 10 assists and not help the team.

What does that even mean? I had 4 kills (which means i couldn't have gotten assists, and an addition 3 assists. That means I touched 7 of 12 enemies, and did almost 1k damage. How is that NOT team play?!?!

Question: How many Mechs do you need to have fun? I played for 6 months in one Mech. I have 4. I have extra weapons, and ammo, Armor enough for 7 Mechs, Sinks enough for 5. How much stuff do you need to play the game???
