I'll even buy a clan IIC if it is unleashed upon the universe.
Praise the dross container of doom!
Created alt, will post when I've gotten the 25 matches done.
Thinking of getting the Steiner Urban Mech, ie an Atlas instead of the Mauler. Same round head, same body profile.

PGI is definitely making an Urbanmech only Solarius queue, right? Because I guarantee that people would queue up fairly frequently just for that.

Urbie IIc.
That is all.

What? You're finding the amount of saltiness and seriousness to be a complete buzzkill in your usual games? Ever wondered why the Urbie is so beloved? Well, the Cult of the UrbanMech is here, and we are happy to help. Just follow these simple steps and you will be welcomed into the arms of your fellow trashcan drivers.
Step 1: Start a new MW:O Account, but change your existing name to have 'Urban' in there, for example 'MovinTarget' has taken the name 'UrbanTarget'.
Step 2: Complete the Academy, this will give you enough C-Bills to buy 3 Urbies, then use the money from your first 25 matches to buy a Mauler and viola! You now have a fully armed and operational FW DropDeck.
Step 3: Buy the for C-Bill colour red and paint all your Mechs for added speed/chance to shut down and be mistaken for a post box.
Step 4: Poke our glorious trashcan tyrant Movin/UrbanTarget and take your place within the ranks of the mighty CotU, for we are Legion.
... and that's it, go forth and spread the word of the urbie.
FAQ:
Why the Urbie?
Because. Revel in its majesty and feel its benevolent gaze touch your soul if it deigns to look in your direction.
This is the Cult of the Urbie? Why do I need a Mauler?
The minimum tonnage drop deck tonnage means you are not allowed to drop 4 Urbies (just one more proof of PGI heresy and lack of understanding) in Faction Warfare. After much deliberation and in-depth discussion it was decided the Mauler is the Assault Mech that aspires to be the Urbie the best. As much as they are wrong (the Stalker does it better), the Word of Urbie unites us all.
*cries* ... but I am a terrible person and don't like urbies ... *blubs*
Man up and accept the word of Urbie you worm.
Wont I be a detriment to my team taking Urbies? Isnt it just a slow light
No. Check with your fellow Prophets for recommended builds so you may smite the unbelievers with true trashcan retribution.
May I run other lesser Mechs on my Urbie Account?
It takes a true believer to run the Urbie, and while other Mechs will try to lure you in with promises of glory, The Great Urbie is a forgiving Master with the proper penance.
This is truly a sign.
How else could I have purchased Basic c-bill Red when I started my account, with no foreknowledge of your words of guidance which would come later unto this thread? It's as if I was guided by the very hand of Urbie (and holiday cheer of Santa Urbie pics).
Regarding names, Our Tyrant Brother 'Target has previously mentioned using a name beginning with Urban or Urbie, but not necessarily related to our main account's name. While many of us have compound names on our main that can be easily and coherently modified, that wasn't the case for me. My main account's name is a meandering story of associative leaps, not great for modifying.
Therefore did I begin anew, leaving the past behind for a completely new name in service to the Urbie's 360-degrees of vision.
Indeed, although we may differ on the best loyal retainer to Urbie in a dropdeck (Mauler Stalker, Anihillator, etc.), what must unite us is bringing the greatness of Urbie to the field of battle. This requires us to include at least one other mech of greater tonnage and lesser weight.
I shall bring Anihillators, possessed of Urbie's own canonized speeds and matching the canonized canonn-tastic spirit of Urbie's many weapons loadouts. It is the Anihillator that was created to serve beside Urbie in defense of its urban environs.

PSA: The loot bags are going for an extra week, to 8 Jan.
I'm thinking of running for the elf dekkle and holiday bell for the QP loot bag reward, and kitting out my minion-ators. If I can get them completed, I might sally forth to proclaim Urbie's greatness to the fractured factions of interstellar humanity. Whee!
Edit: autocorrect attempts to interfere with my declarations.

Yea, their message of great tidings was soundly rejected and therefore they did rolleth up their sleeves and did labor in the work... Much salt was made by clanners as we waded among them, dealing much damage, to friend and foe (Urbie's gaze falls upon all) and lo, the great unwashed was amazed.

Greater visibility of Urbie on the field will encourage the Trashborn among them to clamor to the dread devs for examples of Urbie's word to those of their own kind.
Urbie IIC this year!

Please let us know if another is planned. I have 3 Urbies and an empty mech bay. Need to grind to get an assault. UM-60 is 2/3rd's skilled, the others are at 10 points each.
