I'm EXTREMELY excited for this idea. Simply because of the forums. It'd be like the Jenner (S). Except for a whole chassis.

lol they actually put an Urby trio ingame, even though it would be frustrating, might actually get me playing and paying again *snorts*

I would highly recommend stock mech mondays. They are awesome.

Seriously, all that would be needed to make an Urban Mech that is actually useful is simple.

Rules were meant to be broken.

In this case the rule of the "max engine size = 1 hex space faster speed from the TT game". An Urban Mech can be just more than a joke mech if you give it decent speed and engine size potential maximum.

That said a 360 degree torso twist would be nice as well. If it had that, then I could accept it going at medium speed around 100KPH.

DO IT PGI!

I wonder if they could make a series of mechs that only have one variant. Not sure how you'd level them up (double or triple the necessary XP?), but it would be cool to see a slew of the less popular or common mechs.

Perhaps we could hold a 'Next Great Battlemech' competition (I got that name from somewhere ... if only I could think where) allowing teams to compete in designing the mighty Urbanmech.

Nope.

What? The original Crusader artwork is an Armored VF-1A from Macross, it's most definitely Unseen.

I stand corrected. Although I thought the later artwork budged it out of the "unseen" category. My mistake.

Unseen were all "re-seen" (if I remember right)
They are still a sticky situation -especially the Macross ones.

"Reseen" is actually used to describe two different things; it is both the 'mechs whose original artwork was once Unseen but are now okay to use again like the Griffin, Shadow Hawk, or BattleMaster, but it is also used for the (fugly) redesigned versions of 'mechs whose original artwork is still Unseen, like the Marauder, Warhammer, or Crusader.

The original Macross artwork is still guarded by the ******** over at Harmony Gold like it's the salvation of mankind, and those designs will likely never be Reseen.

I swear, Harmony Gold is one of the most annoying, hostile, abusive-of-their-own-playerbase companies I have ever seen, and I deal with Games Workshop for my 40K needs!

I haven't touched any of HG's products yet, but I know I dislike they way that they treat the BT/MW series
Justified or not (and they may very well be for all I can prove) they come across as bullies

It's strange how they can't seem to see how Urban Mechs would be bestsellers. Come on, think of the gold to be gained from selling urbies, PGI. Every other player would buy one on the first day of availability. Only the release of the Marauder could sell more.

I'm pretty sure they know how well it would sell, same as the Marauder, Archer and Warhammer, among others. I have no idea why they haven't released it yet, but they have been doing lots of good things lately, so hopefully they will soon (just so you guys will hush, lol)

Unlike the Urbie and Warhammer, the Archer is actually an effective mech. Imagine a Catapult with more armor, lasers on arms, and the ability to tank more damage. The Urbie would be fun, not overly effective, and you can build a Warhammer with the Orion.

The Marauder, though...

I'd still rather have the Urbie, Hatchetman, Zeus, and King Crab, but the Marauder is just an awesome mech with a long BT history.

I still say we crowdfund and buy out Harmony Gold and end this stupidity that's been going on since...what? Mechwarrior 2?

Slightly before, actually. MW2 was released in 1995 and the Unseen status was from a series of lawsuits in 1994.
