so you condone angering your customers by mocking the product they want continuing not to supply it?
cool buisness stratagy bro!
thing is It’s easy to make urbie work in mwo
JJs; give em 8-10 so we can fly around like the spiders could when they were introduced, pre jj hieght nerf that’ll help some of the manurvering speed troubles.
Engines; introduce 50-100 range and give the urbie an 50-200 rating. so what if the 50-100 is only available on one mech, not like everyone uses 100 rated engines so there's no point arguing it's a waste, most stock equipment is a waste by design, on purpose, just look at heatsinks. a max of 152kph with speedtweak is fine for a mech with many JJs better than a locust by far and we got that and people play it. really who uses stock engines in lights when they want to be competitive? This too slow nonsense must stop cause you can change engines, everyone does, if you want to say urbie can't work because of stock engines join the light clanner pilots whom ARE stuck with engine limits.
movement architype: Overlord dropship
Torso; not only 360 twist but 40-45 degree vertical torso movement, perched on a roof top it’ll be the only mech capable of shooting down on someone’s head {without guessing what is where with the arms like you usually do} and staring up cliff faces it can shoot a mech who can’t fight back anywhere near as good. Terrain trolling and hidey hole sniping which is what the mech’s built for, not as fast but more flexible than any other light in the game.
Hardpoints; the UM - R60 can have 3B on the right arm and 2 energy on the left. The UM - R60L can have 2B on the right arm and 3 energy on the left arm. The third variant UM – R63 can have 1B in the right arm 2 energy in the left arm and 2 energy 2B in the left torso {pending use of R63 or machine gun version}. Then the hero is none other than deputy dog with 2energy in the right arm 2B in the left arm and 2 energy in the CT. {although i think the urbie hero will end up with a huge basket on it's head saying "police" if adaptions of Bishop's art is anything to go by}
And lastly scaling; it should be as wide as a firestarter but the height of a jenner, hard to hit and see.
And that’s just the top of my head how urbie can be done and made interesting for a large player demographic. not a joke, not DOA. We’ve seen worse lights carry on well.
if pgi thought about it could easily be done
but they don’t want our money.
