i've been doing just fine with spider-urbie, std 100, SL and ac10 with 2.5 tons of ammo. sure there's the match where i do under 50 dmg and die fast, but that can happen in any mech. best match so far have been 2 kills, 4 assists and 340ish dmg. gotten kill shots on king crabs, most damage done kill credit on dire whales, been killed by locusts, and survived to the end in many matches. if you want to run it stock it's not going to do too much in anything- but who runs things stock these days?

will it be the unstoppable force of doom in CW? probably not. will it do just fine when you just want to get a quick drop or two in without wanting to wait for the CW match to fill up 10-15 minutes later? sure.

Absolutely badass story. The way things happen is just awesome, sometimes.

I'd be laughing so hard in a CW match if we were able to have some raven spotting for a lance+ of Urbanmech-AIV's (if the Arrow is ever added for Mechs) and start wiping out the first wave of Clanners before they even get to touch a gate generator.

also i got insider information for all the people who hate the idea of urbies being in the game. if you complain on the forums, they'll log the info... and replace all your mechs with urbies!
or... you know just not buy the @!#$%^& mech cause you dont like it and move on. i can make a hollander with a raven or fire starter, yet people dont B&M over a light with a gauss-oh wait yes they do, yeesh.
also random photo from google search "sarna hollander"
Spoiler
[oh its ... 4plebs.com , huh. odd name for a site]
wtf. eh, I've seen worse. also, urban nuke launcher is best nuke launcher!

Likewise. There are many mechs I will buy and play if they come out. Although the Firestarter will ALWAYS be my baby, and my favorite chassis in the game (as it is in Tabletop), there are plenty of times when I just want to play something different. The Urbanmech is certainly another mech I would purchase and play. Is it my favorite? No. Will it still be fun? Hell yes!

Variety is the spice of life, and the Urbanmech is my Ghost Pepper. It may look small and innocent, but if you're not careful it'll rip you a new arse.

Tonnage: 30 tons
Top Speed: 32.4 km/h

Prime armament:

Do you know there is a tool in the game called mechlab, don't you?

It makes no difference what the mech is stock, but what you can do with it after the mechlab.
So, what matters is:
  • maximum engine; (we know it won't be great but will certainly have a larger limit, like the Panther)
  • hitboxes;
  • (inflated) hardpoints;
  • quirks, specially quirks. If they give something like +40% fire rate for ballistics, Urbanmech will be dangerous.

Or, take a Spider.
Whack an AC10 (or LBX10), 1-3T of ammo, a Small/Medium laser and 2 Jump Jets and a Std100 on there.

Go see how you do.
I bet it'll surprise you.

I ended up dropping my AC10 down to an AC2 in my spider. I felt guilty of a crime against my team running around at about 54 kph ...but then I got two kills in my second match.

IMHO, we'll be able to adjust the speed up above 64 kph, and add additional lasers - it'll be effective so long as it isn't too large (and no - it doesn't need 360 degree torso twist).

Nah the Urbie can expect a whole boatload of positive quirks that will make it the perfect portable turret. Just wait you'll see. #UrbieTidePride

Edit: Also the Clans felt that it deserved a IIC version so I think its worth more than "shittiest mech"

I'm currently running an AC2 in my LCT-PB, and I got 2 kills last night. (it's head mounted so great for hill humping).

Think of quirks like:
small laser cool down 25%
laser cool down 25%
small laser range 25%
laser range 25%
small laser duration 12.5%
laser duration 12.5%
ballistic cool down 20%
ac/10 cool down 20%

Quirk it like the Locust 1V - it's limited to 1 energy slot, so it isn't overpowering with it's single ERLL.
It's hammer time!

"Omg, why do you want probably the shetiest mech in whole BT universe in the MWO game? I mean who would want the Banshee?!?!?"
Tonnage: 95 Tons
Top Speed: 64.8

Prime armament:
  • 1x Autocannon 5
  • 1x PPC
  • 1x Small Laser
Who would possibly want such a PoS mech that a shadowhawk does better builds?!?! This will never be the most popular inner sphere mech in CW and Pug matches due to it's amazing inflated hardpoints and quirks!!!one1!"

Yes, keep judging my urbie by the stock design. My 95 kph Urbie will put an AC 20 round into your back over and over even before you have the chance to even witness my urbie, Killer of titans. After it jumps right over your head.

95kph + AC20? I think you may have drank a little too much koolaid today...
