For comparison: [redacted]states that the Firestarter in BattleTech (35 tons) is 12 meters tall, [redacted] indicates that the Phoenix Hawk in BattleTech (45 tons) is 11 meters tall, [redacted]indicates that the Victor in BattleTech (80 tons) is 14 meters tall, and both [redacted]indicate that the Mad Cat in BattleTech (75 tons) is 10 meters tall.
Likewise, [redacted](the canonical novelization of the MechWarrior 3 storyline) describes the Bushwacker (55 tons) as "standing just shy of eight meters in height", "shorter than the average 'Mech", and "wider than it was tall".
(A couple of posts with BT height listings & references can be found [redacted].)
The UrbanMech is a bit on the short side for a 'Mech (9 meters tall, versus most 'Mechs being 10-12 meters tall), but it is not the shortest 'Mech in BattleTech, as the Bushwacker is a full meter shorter, despite being nearly twice the mass of the UrbanMech, AND the canonical UrbanMech is also only a single meter shorter than the canonical Mad Cat (with the latter being 2.5 times the mass of the former).
Given that MWO 'Mechs tend to be larger than their canonical counterparts as a rule, versus MWO Lights being under-scaled relative to MWO Mediums, MWO Heavies, and MWO Assaults, I would expect the UrbanMech to be close to the height of the MWO Spider (especially with the MWO concept art showing it to be not as overly-rotund as some other depictions), and very likely no shorter than the MWO Commando (with the Spider & the Commando not being that far off from each other in terms of height (see here, from here)).

I think we're running into the same problem here, that most people do with WH40K. Too many authors, no consensus.
The madcat being shorter than the Firestarter seems like it has quite a few problems in my opinion. Unless it's about 4-6 Urbies wide.

Unfortunately i dont have money at the moment to the mech.
Yes. It will be Injected into the game (tentatively), on April 7th. A week or so after that it will be released for MC. I assume a C-Bill release will be a week or two after that.

While I do not disagree, remember that the Firestarter has always been drawn as a tall, gangly looking strawman.

At least in the case of the Mad Cat & the Firestarter, it should be noted that most of the Mad Cat's mass - in the central body - is oriented horizontally, while most of the Firestarter's mass is oriented vertically.
Comparing the canonical Firestarter to the canonical Mad Cat would be similar to comparing the average basketball player (average height 6'7", average weight 218 lbs; source) to the average sumo wrestler (average height 185 cm (6'1"), average weight 148 kg (326.28 lbs); source) - height alone does not necessarily correlate with (or necessarily serve as a good indicator of) body mass.

That aside, was a percentage number given anywhere? Russ's tweet didn't say anything exact.

In basic design, they are recognizable as those models...But the Centurion never had those huge, wide shoulders. The Wolverine was not as blocky, the Battlemaster was far more rounded and had cables and such, and the Phoenix Hawk was not nearly as square. And what the hell is up with those hands?!?
I'm not saying the designs were bad. They are not. But I am saying that we can and should except the Urbie to look a lot different from the picture given way back in the original 3025 Technical Readout book of the 1980s. I still want the little guy, but I think this concept drawing needs a bit more work.

The Urbie needs an urban-recon buddy, maybe a 20 ton with JJ's - Gimme a Hornet! (basically the only not-unseen 20 ton that doesn't mimic the Locust).
As much as I would vote for Hatchetman, that would require melee, and I just don't think we are going to cross that bridge.

i take back what i said on the cent i was thinking of the ronin when i typed that went looking to find the pic you know
and the point i was trying to make is that the phoenix mechs are with some creative liberty taken recognizable save the
battle master that looks nothing like the big foot damn it and forgive me for asking but why to you keep bringing up the
phoenix hawk its not in the game yet

Edit: Unless we could somehow convince Harmony Gold to cough up the iconic mechs. Maybe get a kickstarter going to buy them out? Have they even released anything in the last decade? Did they do Macross Plus? That one was good.
