It does have a pretty paintjob though.
Seem like the anti-Ember.
(Ember was an amazingly well designed Hero with an amazingly poorly designed paint scheme. The Huginn is pretty much a horribly thought out and designed Hero, with an amazingly cool paint scheme. Whatupwitdat?)

Or how about light mechs that are all ammo based? There is a reason every mech in the BT universe had a ML or a SL at the very least, even on mostly ammo relent mechs (the A1 is the exception to that).

I agree that this Hero Raven is bad. Either drop one of the missile hardpoints for 1 energy. Or add 2 energy hardpoints to it.
Or change it to a Raven-4X - like mech with the 300 engine cap and the added missile hardpoint.

does have a 300 cap.
But can only mount 2 JJs AFTER the linear JJ nerf
and doesn't have the mass to use the Ballistics for much beside MG
and by only having 2 missiles, but such limited mass, can't even "boat" those to pick up the slack.
If it at least had ECM like a 3L it could be sneaky and hunt wounded mechs. As is, MEH.
Pretty paint though.

Swap 2 ballistic for 2 energy, keep the twin JJ and take away the AMS but give it ECM.
So it would be a 2,2,2 mech, with setups like 2 MG 2 ML 2 SRM6, would be an actual good mech.
Because Seriously, it seems like PGI is insulting us with these "hero" mechs that are lack luster at best and can't even properly compete against normal C-bill versions. Why do you think the Illya/HM/Victor are so popular? Not because of the Meta, they were popular before that, but its because they can fight and carry the same good firepower as normal versions. With the Illya being the only unique mech out there with 3 ballistics in 3 different locations.
I know PGI is scared of the P2W crowed, but really, Hero Mechs do not win you games, piloting and gunnery skill, along with teamwork, DO win games. Much like how the "gold tanks" in WoT do not win games for you, you still have to drive the thing and shoot it.

I'd be down with that.
Drop the near useless JJs, pop in a Large, a pair of SSRMs and quad MG. I might actually have fun with that.

Heheh. Every 'Mech... Yeoman, Galahad, Glass Spider, Anubis 5Y, Hollander, Fireball, Toro, and more. There is more to being a substandard light than just ammo dependence. This case is that it just cannot stand up to other lights well... except for maybe a Locust. Hardly impressive if a Locust gives you a hard time.

* PGI forgot that their MG's don't damage armor very well like in previous games, where-as the SRM's have their own issues aesthetically and balance-wise.
* So basically the MG's can't be used to open up armor where SRM's are the traditional weapon for finding spots on a Mech that have no armor.
* The next LOL is that it uses Double Heat Sinks, when it uses on its default loadout 4 heatless weapons, an SRM6, and an SSRM2.
But Uncle Task doesn't that mean 4 MG's, 1 SRM6, and 1 Streak SRM2 would be heat neutral with 10 SHS? Yup. Means they ain't proud of the heat system.

theres an idea, and something that none of the other RVN models have *that im aware of*: an energy slot in the CT, so it could fire from the tip of the nose. that with missles on the arms, and ballistics on the torso maybe *1 hardpoint on each*, and that could be an interesting thing to play with. least the options are there then.

Problem is, to me, £2.50-£4 for a camo pattern for 1 chasis, just very not worth it.
For every chasis that could take it... I would probably do it though...
But otherwise, yeah even though I like Ravens, and will be mastering them soon, - £8.90 for this (Once you include the Mechbay), I'll pass.
