After 3 + years of MWO development I can tell IGP/PGI are lost like a ship lost in a typhoon. If there are 2500 active players left I would be very surprised. With so many players bailing the ship its hard to imagine them keeping the game alive much longer. New players come in see what a lame team game it really is with very little content no meta to speak of and just move on down the internet MMO road.
No lobby's ,no social aspects ,no private matches ,no leagues, no game/Weapons balance, no mech longevity how much anti-MechWarrior can this (World Of Mechs=MWO) game become?

Well, I use it fondly for you and Roadbeer. You're sort of gentlemen trolls by internet standards. Using sarcasm, irony, and facts rather than pure vitriol implies a level of classiness.
I'm also betting this results in a response about how you're not really a smart ass because they're xyz...
well see here's the thing
My snark is in direct response to attacks or just stupid posts. If the person I'm talking to in a thread thinks they're going ot eb "cute" and use sarcasm or personal attacks then I'm happy to oblige them. So as you surmised my trollisms are relegated to those who started it
See? I'm not a troll, I'm an anti-troll. Kinda like the whole anti-venom thing a while back in Spider-Man comics. I troll for the good of teh community....
nah ok I couldn't even keep a straight face for that one. I'm a sarcastic smart ass by nature. Sometimes people around here make it VERY easy or are just asking for it! I never troll new players though, and I never ever troll someone who posts a well thought out thread even if I disagree with it.
I still stand by what I said. If you don't agree with people and post anything contradicting an op's statement, many times you're just called a troll because it's the easiest way to get people to dismiss your ideas. It's one of the more common tactics around the internet when someone says x, someone posts y, and then I post z that contradicts them.

Exploits that fit into PGI's "vision" for the game are ok. I've slowly come to that realization. They're too hung up on developing the game to fit into their vision. They don't stop to think that their vision isn't always a customer's vision. So now they want you to spend hundreds of dollars on their product but would they do the same?
If I had done what they've done for two years now, changed my position, told paying customers they were on islands, changed core fundamental game functions, retracted advertised features numerous times, etc. would THEY be comfortable handing me a couple of hundred dollars in the hopes that I might at some point, maybe, half-ass a feature they were all but promised two years ago? I doubt it
