Limited MWO tonight as I was taking a small break from it. Of the drops I did go on, it was either a hard fought battle or a complete rout of my team due to poor pugs dying while using my sniper Stalker.

I mean...really? 4 pugs shouldn't be dying to a lone Jester and Jagermech in Frozen City. What were you doing? Eating donuts in the middle of battle?

Day #28 Update #1

So it is another wonderful "Sunday" Morning and I have just woken up, got the power drinks flowing as I get ready for a day of updates on our website. This is going to be along day as there is much to update in the way of lore, training information and more on our website. The one thing that makes our "Unit" different then others in some ways is it is always improving upon its self not only through its members but in "General" with additions to Lore, Tactics, Strategies and a whole lot more. The site is always being improved and we are always moving forward.

I am proud of the members of the {H*S} as they have kept up with everything that needs to be done in this "Unit" and their responsibilities, don't get me wrong there are sometimes life circumstances that have to be answered first sometimes. That is just being responsible and that is always important to us, though they take their place here very serious and always keep the communication flowing and up to date.

We have been pounding the "Training" hard and we continue to make improvement upon our abilities as solo pilots and as "Unit" it is a amazing. What you can learn from a video or your "Unit" members about your abilities and skills you don't see normally.

We continue to keep our eyes open for possible "Initiates" though sadly, we haven't found any we would wish to sponsor as of yet into this "Unit" for about a week and half now. In another two weeks a few of our current "Initiates" maybe become full Da'ka's and be able to take up sponsoring new people into our "Unit" as "Initiates", we are looking forward to this.

Its becoming more and more common for me to take top damage in my Misery. Its more apparent for when the team is full of atrocious pugs where they chase after a damaged Raven into a full enemy force and don't even kill it. People in heavier mechs should be doing damage. Why am I seeing numbers like Victors and Catapults doing 0 damage in games

Good news is that there were multiple games where the pugs DO listen and we end up turning the battle into a victory.

Welcome to the "House of Solveinean" recruitment thread

Day #29 Update #1

So yesterday was interesting though in truth I was not really feeling up to the task of updating the website, though I did make a few minor updates. I decided to wait until today to do the major updates I had planned to do yesterday, I did do several drops and decided to lead the "PUGS" or at least attempt it.

The truth is the "PUGS" had actually listened for the most part, though difficult at times to lead without VoIP communication it is still possible and have decided after a small break last-night. That I would attempt it in every match in which I have at least three "House of Solveinean" members on with me in-game.

In truth, I haven't been really leading "PUGS" or making the attempt sense closed beta and perhaps that is wrong of me. I say this because often I have led squads and units in other MMORPG games yet here. I have gotten away from it based solo on my disappointment at how certain things have been handle sense closed beta for which I will keep to myself.

The fact is I am making commitment to attempt to lead "PUGS" again even if it frustrates the hell out of me. After all this game and those that enjoy playing it deserve good tactical and strategical battle and not just the head into the "firey pit" in "Terra therma" and rush the middle or rush the middle or 300m out behind cover in tormaline desert. I have studied the choke points and kill boxes the truth is their are at least hundred different tactical approaches you can take with each map, plus their counters if you just take the time to study, practice and explain how to do them. I agree you might not always get them right and you can get frustrated but their are many ways to defeat your enemy or hurt them badly.

Day 29# Update #2

So today has been wonderfully beautiful on one hand I have been out taking care of my property and cleaning up cutting bushes, tree, grass trimming flowers and working with my hands a bit. On another I had gotten on between twelve pm eastern united states standard time until just after three pm with my second shift pilots and led "Pugs" into glories battle, which at first a few had trouble listening to orders.

I then found myself please as they began to listen and some heated battles began and wore won but not in the traditional "Mechwarrior Online" fashion for "Pugs" as they had listened to my orders. I had not led them for over year and half for so long as I did using tactics and strategies in which you don't see with "Pugs" often as the normal battle routs wore drop for truly tactical purposes. We held grids and choke points, that are not normal for "Pugs" and many battles wore won based upon skill and not clustering.

<Stretches and sips his pepsi as he has put away the power drinks and coffee> I have decided to give "MechWarrior Online" in its "Pug" division a little help and though I cannot attempt it while solo I am now committed as I once had been in beta to leading in this division of competition. <Smiles> I plan to update the website tonight, after our seven pm until 2am training session which if your interested in grouping with us and possibly becoming a initiate you can find us on "Com-star North American" (VoIP) or the "No Guts No Galaxy" (VoIP) as we are getting our channel reestablished over their and again sponsoring them.

We are also taking on casual members and moderate member play time individuals. We have opened our doors to European and the Global community as well as time once again allows for such expansion. We do not plan to grow fast and our standards remain the same though for even casual members and moderate members.

We look forward to seeing you on the battlefield in "MechWarrior Online" in company battles or lance with or without "Pugs".

Its often that I find myself one of the late members of teams I drop up, struggling to fight off enemy mechs with less than half a mech. Imust thank for hte poor aim that my opponents have, being unable to take down a Stalker as I stomp off at a blazing 65 Kph.

Welcome to the "House of Solveinean", Recruitment Thread

Day 30# Update #1

I am very happy to welcome "NAVO" our latest "Initiate" to the "House of Solveinean" it is not easy to enter our "Initiate" program and yet he has proven himself within the first day of "Drops" with us. He has a three week "Journey" before him to become a member of this "Unit" though he is one of the rare few that has earned his "Initiate" status. We have no doubt within three weeks time, he will become a "Proud" member of this "Unit" if all goes well.

We continue to move forward though growth is slow in this "Unit" it is not because of applicants applying as we do get many interests, we just have our specialization and member responsibilities that often make growth slow. We never attempt to x potential members out, though we do expect certain things from our members and as long as they make every attempt to fulfill their responsibilities and keep common courtesy and respect for this "Unit" at the front of their minds and awareness they often do well here.

So on different note "Training" last-night went very well with our "Unit" as I spent a lot of time yesterday in the afternoon and late evening after seven pm eastern standard (Unite state) time until round 11 pm doing "Training". We continue to attempt to lead the "Pugs" into battle and for the most part they do listen with the occasional "Pug" wanting to do his/her own thing and get himself or herself killed normally really on in the match.

Eltain here reporting in. I have unfortunately been neglecting my daily reports, so I'll give a summary of my MWO exploits over the past few days.

On Saturday and Sunday I've been experimenting with random matches. I setup auto hotkey to type in basic phrases like "Target X" or "Enemies Spotted" etc etc and seeing if the extra bit of communication improves pug matches. The results have been mixed. I've heard some people say it improved moral, but other times it doesn't seem to have much of an effect. I did go on a nice 8 game winning streak, but then went on a 5 game losing streak. Overall I don't have enough info to say for sure if it helps, but it DOES feel like I'm doing something useful hahaha.

On the few days after it was just the usual MWO fare, grouping, randoming, killing. We did encounter a Davion Lance in one of our drops though, and pulled off a win. The Solveinean lore indicates they have some beef with the Davions so it was a fun match.

Today though we ran a couple of 12 mans with the new 3/3/3/3 system. It was a great success. The House of Solveinean teamed up with Clan Star Adder and won 2/0 against the enemy. On our first match we dropped into the Crimson Straight with a Conquest format. A few of my lights and myself rushed to Theta to try and take it early, however the enemy light lance had the same idea. A Spider, Raven, and Commando swarmed the area. We were ordered into a tactical retreat and temporarily lost Theta. However the enemies were not as coordinated as our team. When part of their team pushed through the tunnel one of us laid an artillery strike and we pushed them back solidly. Afterwards the enemies advanced into us and the match turned into an Urban Brawl of sorts. I used the maneuverability of my 300XL equipped Yen Lo to deal maximum damage. In the end I was able to finish off 6 enemies and deal almost 700 damage. Our final score was 12 to 5.

The second match that they developed differently. We dropped onto the Tourmaline Desert. Once there our commander Wolniewski ordered us to take up defensive positions and try to draw the enemy in. It was a solid and smart tactic for the map at hand. The enemies were not easily coerced, and a standoff lasting almost 6 minutes ensured. Eventually a Lance of enemy heavies tried to push in from F7, our whole team moved up and stopped them, this was the trigger for a full on battle as the rest of the enemy tried to flank us. Unfortunately I was not able to use my mech to it's full potential that match. The AC-20 and Medium Lasers didn't have the range to help during the standoff phase, and during the push I had a hard time finding cover in the map. The desert also meant heat was an issue, but my Yen Lo was a pretty cool design. There was one moment where I broke off to pursue a neutered enemy BlackJack. That Blackjack knew his stuff and performed side to side evasive maneuvers that threw off my AC-20 aim. I realized then I needed to improve my ability to lead shots with the AC-20. I was able to shoot him in the back a bunch of times with my lasers, but overall it took a lot longer to kill this straggler then it should have.

Another day of 12 men and private training. Limited training matches involved me scouting the entire battle as a Raven-3L and then changing back to my signature Misery where my two team-mates dropped connection, leaving me.

After miscommunications on my position for a duel, I was dueling my Misery against new member Navo in his Shadowhawk. Eltain then challenged what was left of me in a Centurion and he went down afterwards shortly. I saw Wolniewski and joked about headshotting him...one shot later and I won the battle as a joke.

Welcome Back to the "House of Solveinean" Recruitment thread

Day 31# Update #1

So last-night and this morning was wonderful as our "Unit" continues to improve upon their abilities with every battle, the standard which we hold is quite High in this "Unit" though each member is living up to its expectation. I continue to bring the same approach with my real life business with this "Unit" and they are benefiting from it, I am always amazed with both new and old members of this "Unit". We continue to work on our reputation through our actions and deeds.

We are training in very slowly and thoroughly in the hundred place choke points and tactical position both defensively and offensively on each of the maps in "MechWarrior Online". We continue to build on the company training as time allows and we are able to do so, though with the increase in "Initiates" and those seeking entrance it won't be long before we are back to full company strength.

We are very thorough in training process, because we need to be in order to be the best both for this "Unit" and for our pilots next to us. I haven't led as thoroughly as this sense close beta and when afterwards my disappointment at things made me loose focus. I realize this now and I am glad I shed the skin and got back to being me once again. I have added another section to our "Public Campaign / Novel" and had recent question asked. That question was how many parts to a single chapter in the book the truth is being a freelance writer, I don't like to state numbers. I however will give you some idea by past example, when I am working on one of my novels I do it by chapter section. My smallest piece of work is a chapter with at least a hundred parts and my biggest had five hundred parts. That means between two to thousand pages normally.

This might seem like a lot to people, the truth is its not for a writer as normally we go back over things and make it smaller or turn it into a series of books from that single book. The "public campaign / novel" is different approach I am using, though more novel then actual campaign it allows for events in our community to effect the story in small to large way depending on the situation.

On a slightly different note last-night and early this morning went well even as we did few campaign matches and won both with the assistance of our new friends the "Clan Star Adders" the first match was against a company of "Pugs" it seems and we wore ready to participate in any match style they throw us in going with general mech formation. We early on appeared to be loosing by resource but through strategic planning and coordination. We turned the table and they began to push which led them to faulter and get wiped out.

The second match was against the "Clan Widowmakers" this was interesting battle as they had battle discipline on their side and took longer then expected. They did after awhile of exchanging fire at distance with us, begin to push in and that is when their fault showed it self and we capitalized on it as our defensive position was stronger and again our coordination won the day/night.

So we again look forward to running with our new friends "Clan Star Adders" at later time and dropping more regularly with them. If you would be interested in meeting with us and possibly seeking membership into this "Unit" remember to jump on the "Com-Star North American" Team speak three in our channel near the bottom of the list. We normally have at least one individual on at any given time and would be happy to drop with you, though I cannot promise you position or offer to become an "Initiate" I can tell you that we would enjoy dropping with you at least.

Personal Update:

Okay.... I am awake, and with summer break in full swing it is time for me to get my ass back in gear. I have restarted my side story of The Invasion of The House of Solveinean. Once I get past the initial invasion I will begin to start writing about specific battles which will be based off MWO games on the weekends. I will start by finding players who would like to participate. Your house DOES matter, as players chosen will be done either as an ally or sync dropped in the hopes that we end up on opposite teams. This means that players who follow Lao or Davion factions will have the opportunity to effect the story in a positive manner for their side, thus forcing the Solveineans back. Kuritans will be seen as allies, who will be helping the Solveineans. Other factions are seen as mercenary, and can go either way. PLEASE NOTE I DO STILL NEED TO SEEK OUT THE APPROVAL OF [NASCHINA] WOLNIEWSKI, BEFORE THIS GETS UNDER WAY.

Group Update:

Last night The House of Solveinean partnered with Clan Star Adder, to form a 12 man. Due to the lateness of the group start we were only able to get in 2 matches. However, both matches ended in victory for the [H*S] and [CSA] evening alliance. With 1 match against a throw together team, and 1 match again Clan Widowmaker.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH TO BOTH TEAMS, AND TO OUR FRIENDS IN CLAN STAR ADDER.

Clan Widowmaker has also expressed interest in doing more training ops together on the 12 man level. I personally look forward to this opportunity as do all the other members of The House of Solveinean.

SEE YOU ALL ON THE BATTLEFIELD!!!

The Stalker didn't move. Powered down, unless the enemy mechs had BAP, he was safe.

The patrol moved by, unaware of the danger they were in, until....

As 1, they immediately turned toward him, the unseen Raven warned them.

He brought his Stalker to life, incoming fire missing him due to hastily fired weapons.

He targeted the lead Atlas, the raw firepower unleashed was devastating, being a Misery load out. The Atlas went reeling.

Next was the Awesome, though not destroyed, traded fire, the Awesome sidestepped to cool down.

The Raven was doing a good job staying behind him, his rear armor taking a beating.

The last mech stepped up, a Catapult, it's quad med lasers raking along the Stalker's torso.

The Stalker, cooled down, was a skilled gunner, turning on the Cat, but wheeled on the Raven, Alpha strike, dead.

The Awesome returned, firing paired ER PPCs, hitting the Atlas, who stepped inline of the fire, amateur.

Then the Awesome stood still, ready to fire the rest of her weapons, forgetting the load out of my Stalker, I fired the AC20, head shot, dead.

The battle raged, but I was winning, the Catapult fell to relentless fire, then it was the Atlas's turn.

We traded fire, I stripped his torso bare, I hit my override, I.....

EUGENE!!!..... ??? NOOOOOooooooo.........

Take the trash out NOW!

.......moooom...............

(Did you see me take that Stalker out? Wow, it was close! You are the best, BOOOYAA!!!)

The real reason why the best never get the kill shot, lesson learned.

Not much today. I've started a new project called the Prototype Puma where I've modified a Raven-2X into a mock Puma. Its mostly made to see how the Puma would act in battle. Its not supposed to replicate the Puma 100% but with an XL 230 and two ER PPCs, it oddly does a pretty good job at fire support and sniping.

Welcome Back to the "House of Solveinean" Recruitment Thread

Day 32# Update #1

So last-night was the slowest night as it seems everyone had taken the night off to get some much needed rest as we have been going at training very hard this last month. We have seen a lot of wonderful change happen here such as our dedication to this "Unit" the reinforcement of our "Guidelines" and principles without exception. We continue to add new content to the website continuously and updates are steady on the "Public Campaign / Novel". We are doing "Lance Drops" and "Company Drops" regularly at least once a week.

We have kept to our Calendar when it has come to DayZ and we continue to build on our "Private" training session with our members, we are leading the "Pugs" whenever possible. We have seen some of the "Pugs" even trying to lead themselves increasingly and using some of those choke points and positions. We have been practicing with them, this has made playing "MechWarrrior Online" even more enjoyable.

We still have a lot to do here and are still searching for potential "Initiates", we have changed out focus slightly as our eyes have looked towards faction warfare and the clan package release. We are now considering our options for Allies and this is even more difficult then finding potential "Initiates". We have few "Units" under consideration, though it has not been decided to approach them as of yet.

We still have a lot more to do with our website as our lore continuous to be added to it and I continue to look on my desk with at least three four inch thick three ring binders on it full of information. That is not include the additions of the once on my book case which are eight, six inch three ring binders. <Laughs> I have a lot of information to choose from its just trying to do this orderly as I could spend all day doing nothing but administrative work for the "House of Solveinean" website but I have more then that to do.

So my plans for today is simple as at twelve thirty this afternoon my time, I will be at an eye appointment as yes I need to get my glasses changed out not preferring contacts or laser eye surgery. I then need to get few things done and hopefully be home round three or four a clock, after which time I might take short break and then get online to begin doing training again this evening or if the mood hits me. I will add another part to the "Public Campaign / Novel".

Anyway as always look for us on the "Com-Star North American" (VoIP) team-speak three, after seven pm eastern standard united states time.

Day 32# Update #2

So what want on today? I want out to get my eyes check which appear to be health and well bad at the same time. I find out that it appears my distance vision has gotten little worse over the last five years, though my eye strength continuous to be strong and healthy. I came home and took a small break and spent some time with my beautiful wife and then finished writing another part to the "Public Campaign / Novel" and posted the new part to our website. I do admit that I have more then I am revealing though it needs tweaked a bit before release and yes you will get to see what happened in that glories fight and well you will need to read the latest post to find out more.

So I will be making every attempt to push out the sections more often as the novel heats up and yes you may see some of the battles in-game in the story soon. I am not revealing when or how but as the story unfolds you will enjoy battles not only between Solveineans with the Inner-sphere and Clans but with the Clans and Inner-Sphere and the Houses as well. I have determined after the book is finished in about years time, the book might be a series but it depends on how it is received.

My old chest opening from Easter reopened today so I had to visit the doctor and go back on my antibiotics. Much fun...

As for Mechwarrior news, I revisited my Ilya Muromets and wanted to change the fit from the triple AC5. It just...felt bland and the fit was almost identical to my Banshee. A quick tweak and testing it in battle proves to utterly shred through opponents with the amount of bullets I put into the air.
