Swayback was part of the meta between June 2012 to just before October 2012. Variations: 9 ML. 9 SPL. 9 SL.

I run mine with 2 LL or ERLL and 6 ML in the hunch.

Too hot back then -- standard engines only and standard heatsinks only. Had to be cheap to build and cheap to repair yet super effective at the time.

Plus XL engines, DHS, upgrades, etc. didn't exist at that time.

But yeah that's a pretty solid build. -_- I run mine with 3 PPCs and several SPLs.

Saddle or Hump - the space between the two hills in the middle of Crimson Straits.

Ugh, standard heatsinks, that explains it. But it was an even playing field. Everyone was running standard.

I still shudder when I remember trial mechs back then... when they hadn't long introduced double heatsinks... oh gods the grinding pain.

"Team-blame
]Players within MWO will commonly die within four minutes of the game starting. This may be accounted to poor decision making, a sudden change in the battlefield, or simply bad luck. However, the true MWO strategist will immediately accuse his teammates of being the "worst ever" or "a bunch of newbs". This helps isolate the player from the perceived poor play of the group and reinforce the idea in his feeble mind that he is somehow not a piss-poor player. (See also - PUG)"

Except, in a scary amount of cases the above is actually true. A LOT of the time, the team is a timid mass of scared, confused individuals who clicked launch to just get murdered because they refuse to move, flank or to push.
KDR is that important ummm hmmm.......
The person who dies first can actually be the person who has the right idea and can see the danger but does not want to die with the sheep herd. -_-

Let me help... The Shadowhawk!

Actually, I really have been liking my Griffins as of late (well, one Griffin anyway. The rest I seem to not like much), and my Stalker... Oh, and I can't forget my Quickdraw and Dragon... And my... ^_^

Please add:
Hamburger Hill- The peak located in Alpine Peaks at grid H10,I10. Inevitably the team that spawned furthest from this point will arrive first (by unknown means of travel) and turn the other into Hamburger.

Death Valley- Location J8 of Alpine Peaks. This is a very questionable place to be. Regardless of wether or not you find yourself in an engagement this will often lead to some form of sweaty palms.

20 Ton Assault- Any Spider. (See also - scout and assault scout)

Wolf Pack- Two or more light mechs who have found a lone mech and proceeded to canibalize said mech. Commonly contains 1 or more of a 20 ton assualt.

Assault Scout- The lone assault who is across the map calling target coordinates or calling for missle support on a single scout (often a 20 ton assault) or wolf pack who is giving him an prostate exam. (See also - Steiner Scout)

Steiner Scout- Refer to assault scout (specifically done with an Atlas)

Scout- Any mech 35 tons and under capable of creating great chaos amomg the enemy line, especially in squirrel mode. Often able to drop at least 1 assault single handedly. (See also - squirrel) Caution: In oder to avoid motion sickness, it is advised you do not spectate this type of play after you are destroyed if you are primarily a heavy or assault pilot. (mechs do not come equiiped with barf bags)

Squirrel- Any scout that has the undivided attention of most of the enemy force. Often leading to at least 1 unintentional Assault scout. (See Also - Whiskey-Tango-Foxtrot as well as many other terms mentioned here)

Theta- Suicide on any map. Great for farming or an adrenaline rush. Should one actually survive refer to - A stick.

A stick- Any mech who has lost all weapons and hope of doing any good for his team other than to run and save his KDR or capture bases while praying not to run into a wolf pack. Very rarely successful at either task.

Whack-A-Mole- Self explanatory. Will often include Ridge-Humping.

"Where's the backup? Garbage team.."
-Guy who ran straight into a mass of red triangles without noticing that all the blue triangles are at least 1000m away from him. Probably died first.

This is hilarious, but might be too meta (see what I did thar?) to be helpful to new players lol. Great for the humor sec tho.

Wow! Dude, this is incredible. Nice work!

What about zombie? I'm not entirely sure what its definition is, I've heard that it's when you've lost both arms, side torsos and have no weapons, and then I've heard that it's when you have all that described before but still have a weapon. Maybe it's not a clearly defined, would be interested to know where it came from.

Hilarious terms used in this game.

Pretty sure it's when you lost both arms and STs and still have CT weapons. I say this because I keep hearing about zombie Cents with the two energy hardpoints in their CT. Overrated, IMO. :)

Someone with no weapons left would be a stick, I think.

Rhaythe, you have created the Devil's Dictionary of the MWO-verse. Ambrose Bierce would be proud! Please continue to add to your creation as inspiration strikes you. :)

Nicely done. i especially like the part about The shadowhawk. Even though it basically makes you run a balanced built. turns out having a balanced built allows you to attack any target at any range, amounting to a higher average damage done ratio. even the games i loose. 500+ damage every time.
