- Death Valley - Also known as Suicide Road. A long, sprawling highway on Alpine Peaks with little cover that is overlooked by sweaty-palmed snipers manning Hamburger Hill.
- HOLY HELL! I had to put my head down, and try with all my might to supress laughter when I read that!
- Personally I would say Death valley, is the long valley below theta on canyon network, overlooked by sweaty palmed snipers.

Small Lasers are in the Meta. You want Flamers here.

AKA many players trying to have Mech sex failing to realize this is a family game.

Current name, Hell - Terra Therma, the map you get when you did something wrong last match whether you know it or not. As in, "Going to Hell for what you did!"

Not really, members of a Wolf Pack generally are not singers and entertainers like the Hollywood Rat Pack.

May as well just say BOOMMechs - JagerMechs/Catapult-K2s with dual AC/20 or Gauss; Hero Ilya with {TheBEEF voice} Tr-Tr-Tr-TRIPLE GAUSS RIFLES {/TheBEEF voice}; Light Mechs with an AC/20.
The Basement - is it Mom's Basement?
I always thought the buildings on Forest Colony were the PGI Offices.
Lurmpocolypse I & II
There were actually 3 of these, you missed one.
Dictionary terms missed
Friendly Fire - 1. the inevitable when shooting a target because getting that kill is SOOOOO much more important that players will sacrifice their allies, instead of moving around them, for that perfect clear shot. 2. when you are so hyped up chasing a target you run across your team's fire lanes.
Team Kill - A really bored player does this resulting in half the team shooting each other making death inevitable.
n00b/Newb - Term used by Russian players in chat competitions for who is, "the n00best/Newbiest."
Event Missed
Day of the Spider - When it came out and people went into shock seeing that hardpoints especially of the Spider-5K. Still low mutterings regarding other 30 ton Mechs that could have been chosen.
Shadow Hawks are not all that.

I think the first was before my time. I put a footnote in the events log. If someone's willing to help me flesh it out, I'm all ears.

AARRGG!!! GET IF OFF!! GET IF OFF!!! AAAARRRGG!: Allouction usually say when a Heavy/Assault mech is attacked by a Spider. Meaning he require your immediate assistance. Have some mercy for the arachnophobe. :3
Even I can't type that fast enough. Mostly saying it over Teamspeak or going "yipeyipeyipeyipeyipe!!!!" while running like a little mech, skirt flapping in the wind and dropping my stuffed jenner as I go.

Lurmpocalypse I: 90°bug when LURMS dropped straight down on your head. Happened on beginning of OB.
Lurmpocalypse II: Change of LURM-flight paths when shooting on spotted targets...no place to hide and pretty much similar to v.1.
Lurmpocalypse III: 5 metre splash damage murder-LURMS. Happened after same patch that brought Jagermechs in game. One salvo from LRM15, and you were dead by head explosion.
Mini-Lurmpocalypse IV: most recent when both NARC and LURMs got buffed, and Stalker 3F(C) happened to be as trial-mech for newbs

Last one is "mini" because all others required emergency hotfix-patch, it didn't.
Also you gotta remember, that before splash damage-hotfix LURM's dmg was 2.0/msl and there was no ghost heat. Stalker LRM60/80-mechs were pretty common at those days among 6 PPC Stalkers, and Awesome R was one of the best LRM-mechs around...
So AC5+PPC-mechs are OP...******* please, they are like fluffy kittens compared to what it was lil' over a year ago

Focus Fire - A supposedly effective tactic in which you focus on only one mech. If you are being shot at or taking fire, ignore it, killing that mech is all that matters. Even if it costs you the game. That kill is so worth losing a leg and an arm and...oh hmm...what? We lost? Being enraged and swearing to kill that stupid spider over chat gives bonus points to this strategy.

"nice macro ****" : refers to a pre- ghost heat loadout for a jager where multiple AC2's were put in different trigger groupings and mouse macro was applied to turn it into an AC2 machine gun. In recent days, it is used by players mad they got defeated by a mech with one or two AC's with different firing rates.
Interception Successful: The correct way to play an Atlas. However, the effects of n00b magnet means the art of interception is lostech to all but a few. See also : MW3 intro movie. Also known as "Surprise Atlas" and "FACEWRECKZ"(the name of my DDC)
Smurfy: a magical web page that allows you to create a loadout without actually buying stuff in game. Considered superior in almost every way to the actual in game mechlab.
Sarna: a land of knowledge, history, and fun facts that should be included somewhere on the MWO web page so players can read about the decades of background to the universe. Much like VOIP and Smurfy however it is only accessible through 3rd party.
MWO meme thread: BEST THREAD.
Warhorse: riding another mech into battle. Once a big no-no due to lag invincibility, now it usually just frowned on. Hilarious to observe. (there are other names forthis but they escape me currently, someone will chime in)
Frankenmech: in cannon, refers to a mech built out of other chassis' parts. In MWO, refers to a mech that has a loadout that is not a boatmech, like 95% of actual lore based variants with multpiple weapon systems to work multiple ranges. LURN TO BOAT N00B. Note- term is less used after ghost heat.
King Crab/Annihilator: (2) 100 ton assault mechs with multiple ballistic loadouts. Though fan favorites, deemed by many as "never gonna happen" due to the developers fears of how to balance a 100 ton n00b tube.
Trollmando: Commando.
Fatlas: Atlas.
Big fatty(s): Usually assaults, but can refer to anything that moves below 70 kph and weighs over 70 tons.
Press H for Hardmode: On terra therma.

Ball-O-Death: Like the mighty gnu or the fearsome anchovy, mechwarriors often move in tight, ever shifting formations. Mechs continually seek to move from the leading edges to the perceived safety in the center of the ball. Other mechs attempt to lead the ball-o-death towards some objective. They will lead several mechs out of the pack until it becomes apparent the the ball-o-death is moving away from them. Then, like pseudopods on a shoggoth, the small group collapses back into the central mass.
Once in contact with enemy forces, the assault mechs in the center and rear of the ball-o-death will fire through the screen of friendly mechs in an attempt to eliminate as many of those kill-stealing jerks as possible. Remember, if you have low-slung arm weapons, you should position yourself in the center of the ball-o-death.
The best tactic against the ball-o-death is to send a single Spider straight through the center of the mass. Friendly fire and "follow the squirrel behaviour" will quickly dissolve the formation.

- Alt-F4 (verb) - No. It will not fix your weapon groups or enable high-graphics mode. Trust me.
Alt-F4 = Alternate 3rd person view, only works the first press (gets your view even further out of the cockpit)

Community Warfare (noun, mythical beast): Use to describe an unverified and mythical entity claimed to exist and been spotted by certain individuals in the western parts of Canada, but not seen anywhere else in the world. Perhaps related to Bigfoot, reports and suspect eye witness testimony by a certain clique of people are the only "proof" offered at this time.

It's not my intent to make this a PGI-bashing thread. There are already plenty of these.
