Well, some of the PP pack "updates" (although, I guess PP owners will benefit from using the Hotrod camo on these if they want) are "not bad".
Shadowhawk-2D will likely be popular over the 2H dakka mech (3 energy hardpoints total on the arms will make for something interesting). I'm unsure of the utility of the Shadowhawk-2K but torso energy would allow PPCs to be fielded in a more protected state. Also, the missile hardpoints are unified, which allows for a decent SRM/LRM platform. It won't have the missile capability, arm articulation, and torso twist of the Griffin, but there is a lot more you can do.
The Tbolt gets a 6E, 2B mech (9S), which is immediately superior to the the 5S IMO because you can "do more" with multiple energy hardpoints (think 5SS) while keeping the dakka arm.
The Lolcust gets a more "viable" missile boat over the odd 3S, although while the hardpoints are lacking, it is more "usable" by design. It's still a Lolcust though. The 1E is a superset of the "popular" 3M, but fielding something like a 6 medium Jenner-F is a hidden hilarity.
I don't know what to make of the Battlemaster though outside of the fact that I think some of the additions are superior to the Phoenix variant Battlemaster (3M vs the Phoenix variant 1G) and the other battlemaster kinda mirrors the Banshee with better "missile" options (torso energy allows for the arms for use as shields).
All in all, if you liked your PP mechs, these additions would have been better than the Phoenix variant... which is an "overall upgrade".
