This is very interesting. I support the idea for a pack of variants for existing chassis'. However, I would MUCH rather get a pack of maps coupled with a new game mode.

Patch notes were already leaked on Reddit. We're getting two new Battlemasters, two new Locusts, two new Shadowhawks, and a new Thunderbolt.

They're basically just finishing the Phoenix pack.

because its a leak lol. I don't think you'll ever find any leaks on any official website for any games or its not called a leak.

plus nobody knows if its official or not. but the person who posted it made a fresh account just to do so. so it was somebody who didn't want it traced back to him

Look in the comments, there's one by FormerSquirrel that's the same layout as the patch notes. You'll see it.

I just looked through the variants...the Battlemasters are very meh, the Locusts....are Locusts...the Shadow Hawks are basically barely different versions of the one's we have now. And I stopped reading after that.

I mean, yay...more variants...but I probably wouldn't bother with any of them.

I do love seeing an HEavy, the Tbolt with the Same movement archetype as a Medium

And mos tof those variants bring very very little new to the table if those are indeed the ones coming.

the 2 shads I think have sleeper potential.

Remember, the Shad has some of the best hit boxes in the game. So the 2K, with it's open arms, can now totally sacrifice those to survive. It has some significant face wrecker brawler potential, because of that. Something kinda like this
Fake SHD-2K Brawler
but with the lasers in the torso. Would tank damage like a boss.

And the 2D2, with the lack of a missile slot, and the 1-2 array of energy points in the arms, now lends itself to some potential variety. A PPC in one arm, 2 mediums in the other, supporting whatever ballistic and missile combo you want? Or a medium in each to f light fighting, and a heavier weapon.

boy I hope that is perspective skewed big time. Otherwise they just ruined the most fabled Clan Mech design. The CT is probably more combat friendly like that, but those tiny weapon pod arms?

The legs look massively, hugely, enormous in that picture.
