NONE of you know anything! Your opinions are just that. Opinions.

\
Same thing goes for you. If people don't voice their opinions then PGI will put out stuff that a lot of people, myself included, don't want to bother spending money on. This will damage their business.

So yeah, kissing their ass isn't good for them in the long run.

The Concept art on the Clan page looked awesome. I'm talking about this picture: https://static.mwome...ns/page1_BG.png

I hate that concept art. They put a filthy Smoke Jag. logo on it. ^_^

I think the Madcat looks great. PGI should release a few of the mechs early. 1) it would reward people who purchased them early 2) it would encourage the sale of more clan mechs and generate more revenue if people started seeing lone madcats in matches. I hope they will do this, the terms state all the mechs will be delivered by June 17th, that doesn't mean some can't be delivered early.

Really love the look of the Timberwolf, matter of fact, I have all of those screenshots as a slideshow theme for my desktop wallpaper at the moment...

However, there IS one thing about the model that ticks me off, call me a bit OCD if you like, and that is the screws at the bottom of the legs, above the feet....

There is no way in hell, that any advanced manufacturing facility would use screws designed for a flat bladed screwdriver for ANYTHING, especially screws bigger than a man's head, those screws should be square, splined, or hex drive, speaking as somebody who has put in a LOT of screws in my time, those bloody screws are just plain annoying, please fix them...

Apart from that, please keep up the good work guys... :(

The reverse knees extend outward too far, but that is pretty solid. Especially, since it uses existing MWO parts. Kudos!

I agree !

PGI's 3D-modelers seem to "cook their own soup" when translating the concept-arts into 3D-models

while concept-arts are looking very smooth and athletic (Centurion, Victor, Battlemaster ...)
the 3D-models are overmuscled body-builders, out of proportion, oversized shoulders, too wide torsos, blocky

in case of Mad-Cat, the 3D-modelers outproportioned the legs

question: is there an "order" for the 3D-modelers to change models this way, are do they really have a very bad taste and sense for translating sexy concept-arts ?

do you guys think that maybe the difference in the mechs from concept art to 3d rendering could mostly be the static stance that the 3d mechs are stuck in whereas the concept art is more dynamic? i'm not saying it is, i'm just wondering if that could be a part of what you're noticing. i don't have an eye for such things and i'm very easy to please, i think pretty much every mech looks fantastic be it in concept or finished product.

This can not work. Torso-twist and the legs will go into the arms. Walk and they do it even more so.

It looks like you took the frame of a stalker, propped it atop a catapults legs.

Added arms from a cataphract and missile pods.

End result -- a "perfect" madcat??!! lol

Or do mine eyes deceive me?

Can't wait till june. Whether this ends in overpowered clan mechs, or underpowered clan mechs that are little more than punching bags with legs -- gotta love that closure.

Not Catapult legs, though the rest is accurate.

The lower leg is a catapults. Clueless on the upper portion.

Looks like it is also tha catapults but the lower part has been moved to the side and altered a little. I think is a great model, I prefer the body of the PGI version though.

I think the PGIs timberwolfs "crutch" is too wide, the legs are too long and the upper part is too big (at least on the pictures). The arms seem also to be too high up. If you remove the LRM racks it look like a monkey that pretends to be bigger to impress his enemy...

Merge the CT of the PGI model with this one and I'm happy.^^

The Stalker, while I love the mech, was definitely a poor choice for the TimberWolf model, I agree.

I see what you mean about the ankles down, but everything above the ankles has either been heavily modified or is from a completely different mech. For instance, the calves are skinnier and longer, the knee joint is offset and a counter-weight sticking out the back, etc.
