Will we finally get a recent posts button? or show all unread posts button? for me this should be the most basic thing to have on any forum... and it's something that reduces duplicate posts very simply.

Well, my thinking was that those three forums are areas that players go to when they want to hear what PGI has to say; General Discussion has historically been more for when players want to contact PGI, or talk to one another.

I also feel that those three subforums wouldn't become cluttered with the addition of two more stickies, but GD does need every bit of breathing room it can get, since it tends to have a far higher thread creation volume than the other forums.

So... let's see if I understand this correctly. The original forum format had a general discussion board which was kind of the catch all for all topics. PGI felt too many topics were being discussed in the general discussion so they went to the more structured forum format (previous iteration). Now... we are back to a general discussion board which is a catch all again.... ummmm.... okay.....? Second guessing the second guess...?

What happened before was everyone who was pissed off about whatever in the game whether it be game balance, lack of features, bugs, slow development, lack of community, or being let down/ripped off and would all post in general forum and it was overwhelmingly negative. So what they did was spread it out into more forums to detract some of the negativity instead of having it all focused in one place. This is of coarse the real reason why they did it and not whatever bogus reason was officially given. The game is a little more balanced now, less bugs, and some of the angry people have left so I'm assuming this is why the old format is being given a try.

I have a concern. There are many forums that I check rarely if ever and it seems they might be merged or purged. Clearly, nothing you can do is right so I'm going to need one of those purged forums set aside so I can post some other complaints I have on:

ECMz
poptarts (aka poptardz. I just made that up)
LMRs
plus& I have some ideas for fighting over a large star map.

Please allow extra mega-pixels, -bit, -tons, and -muscle supplements for my double to quintuple posts.

Umm...I think I'm supposed to post some memes here. So...I'll be back after I find a complex argument to tag with a pithy one-liner and post on a pix.
