I am sincerely hoping that it won't just be random clan mechs and IS mechs on the same teams at random in the current game modes...

However, there is a Faction mode planned where it will take into account what mechs are specific to each faction and potentially limit which mechs are able to be bought or even played by players allied with that faction.
But that mode won't be out until September or December of this year.

Kraven, if you are looking for a BT canon experience, MW:O is not for you.
They are not holding firm on very much at all except the names of the mechs and general artwork.

Has anyone tried to get a refund on the clan pack? The reason for this would,be I will not accept a mix approach from pgi and rather get my money back instead of continuing this company. 240$ would,be an awful lot of premium time. I'd rather invest in that and buy the c-bill mechs if they shoot for a "mix approach". For me the reason to pay for clan mechs is void if they mix up. I know there at alot of others that have a similar stance on this, so hopefully some clear statement can be found, or I'm out of this.

Just a lot of players talked about it for no reason.

Just enjoy the game for what it is: an FPS with lots of giant stomping robots. I doubt it will ever be much more.

I think (i may be fooling myself) that PGI will (or should) allow either a limited choice in engines or a fixed *variant engine* in order to bring something else.
I was thinking something along 3 engines per variant in order to let ppl choose speed - balance - or slow (weapons + armor) builds.
Or just each variant focused in one of those principles but never allow a full choice of engine like anyone from 200 to 350 like we do now.

Seeing that that statement they made contradicts earlier statements made at the launch party i would say that we still dont know jack shit about CW... wich isnt surprising because it most likely still only exists as that power point presentation and the couple of forum posts we had over the last 2 years.
The only thing we know is that PUG matches will be mixed matches...
But hey.. as allways with PGI: Could just have been their position at the time.

3-3-3-3 Is designed to balance the teams in public play aswell, something alot of crybabies on this forum just can't get into their heads despite the fact that Asymmetrical gameplay will be a part of CW. But that's another story

Russ said in a few NGNG podcasts that faction play will be different in terms of rules, it will also try to simulate a more canon faithful enviroment.

in the end it comes down to my stupidity believing pgi could do something right for once.
then I knew about the "stuck in terrain" bug and all the other bugs that went by their q&a for the 16 months I played this game now.
my own problem buying the clan pack hoping it'll be implemented right I guess.
enough ranting for least a month from me.
p.s. Still can't believe they will mix the sides.

Yeah i can't find what i was reading before, but I kinda got the feeling that the different rules which simulate a more canon environment was the faction vs faction cause it went on to talk about how private matches after that for people who (basically) want to play a BT mmog.

your gonna say all this because you made an incorrect statement about clan and IS tech?
