I like Free Mechbays, and I've already grinded out the Thunderbolts... so this will be worth looking into. I already like this over the 5S.

I sincerely hope the "basics bug" has been fixed, in addition to the mechbay bug that occurred when doing the Centurion event.

What's probably going to happen for me is I'll keep the 9S and sell the 5SS (even though I already mastered all 3 from before). Just never got into the 5SS as much as I liked the other 2. Something about straight up all energy builds and me not liking each other. I already sold my BNC-3M.

Nice offer PGI, I'll take it!

(assuming I can actually win five matches).

PGI, stop giving those away with almost no effort required from a player. Make it 30-40 games, not 5. We had cockpit items for 25 victories!
No one needs the game to become more simple and eleemosynary.

People may leave the game if it goes on that "handing out for almost nothing" way.

Overall: we are not happy.

I am just glad they extended it to the 22nd because Easter is this weekend. The Centurion ended on Sunday if I recall correctly (not looking it up, going off memory). I need to get this x2 (alt account) so if it was something like 30 wins, I'd only go for one. But normally I'd agree. More than 5 wins because it's rather easy with this few.

Hey, it's got the doable twin AC/5 + PPC option with that weight, so you're even meta-capable, along with a total of six energy hardpoints. Anything with at least two ballistic hardpoints can make a decent mark in the world.

The 5s is the Phoenix Special and can't be sold unless I'm mistaken about the 5s part.

Only one variant of each of Phoenix Mechs had the 30% accelerator. So these new variants will be standard Mechs.

But hey, free Mech. Worth it either way!

TF's Open Beta was free to play. SC's Dogfighting Module is the first true ''playable'' content in a much-anticipated F2P game.

But anyway, way to miss the point.

No, I see that you are implying that PGI gives away free mechs when competing games launch and or add significant content, that is just smart business. I know that there are many players who are seriously butt-hurt because there are mech variants that cost real money, they want a shiny new version of their favorite game absolutely free, developed by charity workers.

Ton for ton, the MG is one of the most OP weapons in the game.

However, let's not look a free Mech in the mouth - thank you PGI!

Shouldn't that be a line graph that climbs up to 2?

No? Not interested.

EDIT:
I'm not being entirely honest, I'll still get it, I'm not a moron

While I agree with your sentiment ... it is still a nice gesture. Dropping when we have odd #s kind sucks. I miss the days of having 5 and 3 pugs autofilled the rest of the group. It was a great way to meet pugs and help them integrated into team based fighting. Yes, I do understand how complicated it can be with a super group in the queue but this is a team oriented game. Even matches with random pugs most often comes down to which side acts like a team over the other.

I love energy builds...which probably makes me crazy.

You still have the dakka arm inherited from the 5S, which is what makes the 9S better... trading off the missile power for more energy is a good thing. The missile rack is actually a hindrance as it increases the hitbox needlessly for just 1 missile hardpoint.

Oh well.

Yes, it is. And we are all the luckier for it.

Damn, I knew there was something wrong with that visualisation, but just couldn't put my finger on it! LOL.
