On the contrary, it has nothing to do with age. Indeed you're working with very, very overused stereotypes there and hence I wonder whether you truly understand it as you think you do. In fact I've seen more 'elders' whining about the strangest elements of gameplay in the balance forum than any child.
Granted you've been around longer than me, and you've seen far more of the industry and its evolution that I'd ever dream of. That's great. And you know, it's great and all that we're getting the chance to win a free 'Mech.
So perhaps I come across a little strong. I struggle with the concept with F2P, since once upon a time you could purchase an entire MechWarrior game for $60 and get your monies worth from it. The fact that they're still putting so much effort into the marketing side and not the development side irritates me. This 'freebie' is a marketing ploy, simple as that. That said, it's their game, and obviously I can head off whenever I please.
Let me retract what I've said beforehand, since I don't particularly want an argument. I'm happy they're hosting the event, and I'm looking forward to grabbing the Thunderbolt when I can.
