That being said, I do want realistic weapons that are scaled correctly.

If a PPC takes up 7 tons and 3 crit slots, it SHOULD LOOK LIKE IT DOES. It shouldn't be the same size as a small laser. It shouldn't be the same size as an AC20. An AC20 then shouldn't look like an AC2, and vice versa. An AC20 on a light should be the same size as an AC20 on the largest assaults, and an ER PPC should be the same size on a Locust as it is on an Atlas.

Notice how neither mechwarrior, Armored Core (which is another of the more proportion following to the mech, ips out there) feature Pea Shooters.

That's my point. It doesn't matter if it's an Anime, or Game, or hell even another table top.



Give me Sizable Weapons over Pea Shooters anyday.

Mine currently has 4 MLs and 2 UAC5s because the UACs at least look deadly.

The PPCs make me cry every time I put them on.

I miss the good looking K2

hope the devs realize that some mechs have to have different looking weapon mounts, when it comes to signature weaponry (i really fear that the awesome will look like the one on the first page xD)

I am all for dynamic weapons, but like you said, the actual weapon mounts should depend on the chassis.

For instance, a K2s energy mounts in the arms should look heavily armored and insulated, giving it the sexy, bulky look we all miss, regardless of what is in it. The actual weapon(s), on the other hand, can be dynamic and fill that weapon mount more or less depending on its actual size. So if you put a PPC in the K2 arm, it fills the mount and looks mean, while if you only put a small laser in it, the weapon should be small.

Lasers should be different sizes, btw... No reason a 0.5 ton small laser should look exactly the same as a 5 ton ERLL...
