Cannot do 2010 as I started in 2012 so I can only compare then to now.
Weapon balance - Being new in 2012, not sure where it was but I recall the first LURMaggeddon back then. Now, SRMs are finally getting worked on, Lasers are used but still PPC & AC is primary, LRM moved up, LBX is the Anti-Light and Beginner Ballistic, Flamers are still useless, MGs here and there, Pulse Lasers need a tweak to make them desirable question being before or without possible changes to Standard Lasers. End result in my view should be one where all weapons have a reason to be considered. With recent changes, other ACs and Gauss should get 2x range limits due to the AC/2 change, nothing more than that is needed. Would be nice to see certain things but I believe PGI has enough on their plate with unfinshed items in
The Plan.
Maps - There might still be a few stuck Mech points going around. I am looking into how maps affect FPS with the recent patch and PGI request on how changes are affecting FPS.
Mechs - all tonnages are represented now though I would prefer 1 alternate at 30 and 40 tons, maybe 45. I would also like to know which older Mech is next getting new weapon meshes.
Water - Recently saw videos and talk of how Lights are unsing water to survive longer, not sure what to think of that.
ECM - Honestly, they should remove the Stealth function. Really, after all this time, I think we can get by without it, it is grossly wrong and would actually encourage fighting more. Possibly mod it, cannot describe how since it has been a while since I looked at it and that would take time I don't have ATM.
Modules - I am actually thinking all Mechs might need +1 slots at this point. We have far more now compared to years ago especially with consumables. I would like to see another Vision mod or two, maybe one each that improves Heat and Night Vision if not creating a new mode.
Ferro-Fibrous Armor - Might be odd they doubled armor values but percentage here is kept the same as TT.
Turrets - I have stated they need to look at and mod how many per map.
Tutorial - Long time since another was added. Given the fact weapon ones could be several and take time, possibly something on using special equipment such as TAG, NARC, BAP, etc. Or one on fighting Turrets and capping, AI operated and they shoot back, that would be simple.
Certain things about performance I address in other topics when it becomes relevant such as currently Ping and FPS.
Overall, I know they have made some progress but not enough to make some players happy especially those complaining about unfulfilled promises. Thing is, I know other MMOs that never did that either yet they remain popular and successful.
